Things are very close in the wild card for the last series of the year. The Yankees get the very tough Red Sox rivals in the AL East. The Indians play the White Sox foes in the CL. Say the White Sox have a current 9 or ten game lead at the time. Would you expect them to throw aces to counter the Indians or minor league pitchers? :dunno: :bag:

It could come down to either the Redsox or Yankees winning the Division, winning the wild card or one of them plays golf during the playoffs. One thing for sure, if either of the teams wraps up the division before the series they will throw their best at the other side to keep them out of the playoffs.

I want the AL East title though badly....what a statement that would be with all our pitching woes this year.... :agent:

Definitely. I really don't think either side wants to deal with another possible 7 games. I know I don't.

i think the yanks are going to win the division and the indians will win the WC. The red sox are not making the playoffs.

I'd love it. I hope you're right.

I guess that would mean it doesn't matter Theo hangs with my boys Pearl Jam and dresses cool, while Cashman's wife shops for his clothes at Sears, huh VC?

im always right

believe it or not i think the yankees have the best rotation outta the teams vying for a spot, and the bullpen will be solidified when sturtze returns to normal and torre starts trusting smalls in big spots.

the offense, well no weaknesses there (except for maybe clutchnes, hehe)

you meaning would the white sox throw buerhle and garland at the indians if they had the division wrapped up last series of the season? probably not. if they did, it would be for 3 or 4 innings to keep them rested for the post-season. thered be no point of having that big lead if they were going to play the final games as if they were that important. theyd want a break.
