[Sarcasm tat'd on my forehead] Didn't see this coming. The rollercoaster ride continues. That's why I've given up on this team. I didn't give a f*ck about the win streak or the comback and I'm treating this loss the same way. I'll watch and root because I'm a fan, but really, it doesn't matter. If this team gets lucky enough to mediocre its way into the post season, they're not getting far anyway. I don't believe in that, "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. Sometimes there's magic," sh*t. |

The up and down nature of this team is basically the motto of the 2005 Yankees. It's frustrating as hell. They'll either tease us and just miss the playoffs or just get in. It won't be easy. I know you consider anything less than a title a failure, but I just want to get in and would like to see at least an appearance in the ALCS. I will be crushed if they get in and lose before winning it all, but the way it has been this year, I will take that as a consolation prize. |

The ALCS would be like a chick you've been trying to get with for months coming back to your place, making out, letting you put the head in........then saying "No" and going home. It might be cool while it lasts but after that, you're just bitter. For this organization, its all or nothing. And that's how I feel. I don't think they can win a title and rather than letting me stick the head in, just say no from the get-go. Don't make me waste my time and emotions. That's why at this point, I'm not bothering to get emotional about their wins and losses. |

I'll take sticking the head in over nothing because at least I saw her nude. In other words, I'll take the ALCS way before I will taking missing the playoffs. You won't believe how weird it feels not to have the Yankees in the playoffs. I don't want that feeling again, as much as a crushing playoff loss hurts. |

This team really doesn't deserve to make the playoffs, that said, I will be extremely pissed if they don't get in. I know I'll be pissed at the end of the year anyway, because there is no way in hell these c u n t s are winning a damn thing, but I'd rather get in to the playoffs than miss them completely. I wish I had your self control Strider. I try not to let these losses bother me, but when I see the bullsh*t I saw tonight, and have seen many times this season, I want to kick the sh*t out of something. I'm sick of bitches like Small Unit, Mussina, etc, etc, etc. This team is full of them. |

I agree this team doesn't seem like one that should make the playoffs, but they're lucky no other teams are running away with it either. Even Boston isn't that good. I just watched them lose to KC. This will go down to the end and the team that doesn't mess up the most, will make it. |

But I do see alot of good in this season as well, which is encouraging. Pitchers like Wang, Small and now Snoop Chacon. I just love that Chacon guy. My key to him was that he's an athlete. No other Yankee pitcher to date is. Even fields his position better than Mo. Count the number of infield popups and the infield foul popups that Chacon has pitched to. I'm sure he will have his bad day, but I do believe he will at least be in there trying. We are seeing how value Matsui is in any position they put him in. It's time for Sheff to stop overswinging the ball especially with 2 strikes. He use to do that when he got 2 strikes on him. |

I wouldn't go so far to call Chacon a better fielder than Mo or Moose. Sheff is in a slump, but that swing has also brought a near .300 BA, 25 HR, and 95 RBI. He can't change now. It would mess him up more in the longrun. |

Chacon hasn't made any spectacular plays off the mound. He's just called for a couple pop ups. Mussina and Rivera have made great relflex/quickness/agility plays. Maybe Snoop has it, but he hasn't had to show it yet. All Sheffield needs is more drama. He needs to come out and say that if Uncle Doc wasn't black, the police wouldn't be chasing him and how if the Yankees valued what he's doing (Sheffield), they would hire a psychologist to come and make sure he's alright emotionally. If Derek Jeter's relative was on the run, they'd have brought Frasier in the next day. He'll hit .450 for the next 2 weeks. |

It's so true. I just checked the boxscore and it looks like Sheffield already hit a 3 run HR today. A-Rod hit one too. |

the season is frustrating as hell for me as well and I 'm really trying to stay positive so with that said, with the way the season is going and for some chance they do make it out of the AL and win the whole thing, I have to say it may feel more exhilerating than if we had one 120 games and just mowed down the competition. As long as they play good baseball and leave it all on the feild, win or lose, It would suck ass but I would take it at this point. |

There's nothing like the feel of the comeback. The team looks like sh*t and your head is hanging, then they come out of nowhere to win it all. The season isn't as fun, but the feeling you'd get from watching them celebrate the title would be greater than if they had dominated. However, this ain't one of them feel good "made for PG movies" kinda deals. This team isn't winning anything. What morsel of hope do we have to go on that leads us to believe that Johnson will pitch like he's got 3/4 the ability he did less than a year ago? Why should we (I) think that Mussina will start being consistent? I still don't trust the bullpen. I still think that this offense has a greater impact on the stat sheet than it does on the field. I don't see that changing. To me, 5 months of evidence overwhelms the hope for 2 months of magic. |

The motto for this team is..."Must Be The Money" in the words of Deion Sanders. |
