With the exception of the St. Louis Cardinals the Mets are good enough to beat any team in the NL. The Mets are also bad enough to lose to any team in the NL. |

Its amazing HOW MUCH BETTER the Mets are when Reyes is on his game. I mean, he just sets up everything. |

Of course! When he learns how to get on base even when he is not in a hot streak the club will be so much better. He reminds me offensively of Vince Coleman (before he threw the firecrackers, when he was with the Cardinals). |

He is so fast, I still can't believe the Mets haven't tried to help him be less agressive at the plate. If the man ever gets a high OBP, this guy would own, PERIOD. |

Yes, he would. He has to be the fatest player in all of baseball. He can hit more homers though, he hasnt hit one since april i think. |

believe me they try, they got him to take first pitches at all times and made him wait and trry to go the other way to stop the agression but that didnt work much because he wasnt swinging at fastballs and starting his swing to late. So when he wasnt ahead in the count and sitting on a fastball in he would pop out or weakly fly out. Recently though they let him go and he has done better at choosing pitches he can hit and he has even walked a few times. Another good thing about reyes (and what could make him a good leadoff man or a number two guy) is that he has the ability to get 10 pitch abs, the only problem is that after the 10th pitch the count is still only 1-2 where the pitcher has thrown at lest 6 balls. |

I heard the end of Saturday's game and after the game they interviewed Reyes. He mentioned that Downs has been working with him every day. Randolph has been helping reyes with his bunting. BTW WFAN had Roberto Clemente Junior as host of a latin sports show and he interviewed Hernandez who gives Rick Peterson credit for his resurection this year. |

Exactly, when Reyes gets on the a Met win is guaranteed. However, i agree with Masta, if Reyes ever got on 37% - 40% of the time then the Mets would a 100 win team |
