Mike Stanton balked home the winning run before he even threw a pitch against the Brewers tonight in his Nationals debut.
The loss went to Luis Ayala. With runners on the corners and one out in the bottom of the 10th, Stanton tried to pick off Rickie Weeks from first base. Weeks was caught in a rundown but first-base umpire Paul Schrieber ruled a balk, allowing Chris Magruder to score from third

I was watching that game live. I didn't think it was a balk. He never made a move towards home. That's a tough call to lose a game on. Stanton never even threw a pitch. The pitcher before him was charged with the loss.
