But few systems could do worse, which is just another thank-you note to the pitching program Billy Connors has mismanaged for the past decade. Aside from Wang, a major international signing, Connors has sent a not ready "prospect" in Sean Henn and more retreads - Jason Anderson, Wayne Franklin, Buddy Groom, Darryl May and Scott Proctor - than you will find on the Surreal Life. Just imagine that this is what the 2005 Yanks have come to, a 20-year-old in center not prepared for the majors in Melky Cabrera, and a pitching staff beginning to look suspiciously like something the Long Island Ducks dragged in.

Cashman is actively pursuing arms not yet tainted by Connors. Al Leiter was designated for assignment by Florida. The Yanks and Rockies are haggling over Shawn Chacon. Colorado requested Henn, Proctor and $250,000. The Yanks countered with Double-A pitchers Ramon Ramirez and Eduardo Sierra.

I still don't know what he actually does. I can't see him as anything more then an old fat guy who rides around Tampa on a golf cart with a liscense plate "NYYGURU"

It's a great job if you can get it. Almost as good as a government no show job.
