Japan is releasing a new TV where you can watch two different programs at the same time. It's no split screen thing. It's full screen. The object is that one sit on the left and the other sit on the right and both viewers will be able to watch full screen the channel of choice. I believe it's Sharp.

So it's basically 2 TVs in the same room? If this sh*t costs the same as two TVs, the purpose is defeated.

And what about audio. Let's say the dude wants to watch the 7:00 game and she's watching "Extreme Home Makeover." Will Ty Pennington's voice be interrupting the broadcast? Or does it come with headphones? And guys wouldn't wanna watch a football game with headphones on. Or what if soaps are on and she's one of them that likes to yell at the characters. I could see this TV or TVs leading to some "I can't hear...and they can't hear you neither, shut the f*ck up!" explosions. Other way too. She's watching some sh*tty comedy and the guy is getting fired up watching the game: "YOU STUPID c*ckSUCKER! AHHHHHHH, f*ckING SON OF A BITCH. GET THE f*ck OUT MY SIGHT!" during a George Clooney scene.

:lmao:

It's true though. If it costs the same as 2 TVs, then I can't see anyone buying it.

I've heard about these TVs, great idea. Although for now they probably cost the price of 4 HDTVs, the average consumer will have to wait 5 years to buy one

I believe they solve the Audio problem with "Sound Zones" meaning that one person will only hear what they're watching if they are on the correct side
