I said to my dad before the inning I was hoping for Mussina for Rentaria, Groom for Ortiz then bring in Sturtze. Guess that was too much walking for Joe in one inning.

:please: f*ck intentional walks for that guy. We're beyond that. We should be hitting him every time he steps up to da dish. That's what Bob Gibson or Don Drysdale would do to a slugger who owns him like Big Papi owns us . . . After about the tenth time that guy will be sore as a mutherf*cker and he'll get the idea :agent:

I want him brushed off the plate or plunked once or twice, but there's no way I walk or hit this guy all the time when nobody is on and Manny is on deck. I want Ortiz off the bases, not on after being hit or walked all the time with Manny ready to add to his 80 RBI.

I was talking figuratively. We have to start controlling the plate, especially against hitters who dominate us. EVEN MORE IMPORTANT NOW WITH WANG OUT. :peace:
