Not happening, but I do agree with you. Also, Joe needs to stop being a douchebag and just sit the f*cker. There is NO excuse for Tino not being in there, other than the fact that Joe is an idiot. Get rid of him before we leave St. Louis as well (another move that won't be happening). |

I really think George is forcing Joe to play Giambi. Why would Torre be more loyal to Giambi than Bernie and Tino, two guys who helped win him 4 rings? I'd love for Torre to say, f*ck you, and bench him also though, so we agree, just place the blame on different people. Actually I blame Torre too, but I don't think it is his idea. |

As you're quick to point out, George isn't patient and he doesn't look much farther than the numbers. The numbers say that both Tino and Bernie are more likely to help the team win. With George, its all about winning. I don't think this is his idea. If it were, he would have given up a while back and accepted the fact that Giambi is a waste. I think this is all or almost all Torre. I think Torre is a f*cking fool and he should have been fired after 2003. I don't care what anyone says. Baseball Blasphemy: FuŠk Joe. His peach sucking tea sipping clueless ass should either be in Hawaii drinking Mai Tai or on the f*cking Baseball Tonight set, analyzing the obvious. But this bad play isn't his fault. He can't do much about it (the baseball manager is the most worthless of any coach in American sports) but he's not the reason they suck. The man retired a long time ago. |

:please: for the 100th time, the ONLY way out of this giamroid mess is to PERMANENTLY bench him with ZERO playing time. it may take a month or two but he will in the end beg for a discounted buyout. This is what the Yankees hafta do! |

The only way is to eat the contract. They knew of the steroid risk when they signed him. Just make him go away! |

They can't. Yanks owe him too much $$$ (like 80million). If they do my benching plan, I bet they only end up paying half. Union can't tell Joe who he has to play. Giambi could be sitting on the bench for years! |

Brother YB and I have been saying the same thing for a while. If we try to buy him out and try to short him a $1, the MLBPA will want to get involved and probably bring up the fact that we turned a blind eye to the possibility of him being a steroid user. We signed him as is. That's burning $84M. But if we CrazyGlue his worthless ass to the bench (no nothing - no pinch-hitting, no subbing for injuries, no pinch-running, no starts - nothing) for long enough, he'll want out. The regular person might think: Well, thank you. I'd love to make $84,000,000 to sit down and eat sunflower seeds. But the athlete ego will make him want out. He'd be miserable. A month into it, he'd come to them asking for a buyout and he might be willing to take less than all of it since he knows the alternative. We should atleast try that. |

Really, there is no other alternative. :no1: Hoping and Praying that Giambi somehow gets good again is akin to believing in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. It ain't happening. Time for the POWER SQUEEZE ! |

Great post Strider, I couldn't agree more with you about Joe Torre. Loser's time here was up two years ago. |
