Yeah i know but it's good that the mets have so many starting pitchers, anyone can go down at any moment, the mets have to watch out with pedro and make sure he is healthy!!! |

I'd rather Pedro pitch with a bum hip than have Zambrano pitch at all. |

Zambarno! Jeez we need to set the tone in the first game and beat the Yankees. If the Yankees come in after winning eleven in a roll and the Mets take them for the first one then there is a good chance we can win two of three or maybe all three. But with the Z man pitching we are in deep sh*t. Does Willie still root for the Yankees? Heilman pitched on Sunday. Friday would be his turn in the rotation. He is not a power pitcher and if he pitches in rotation there is a better chance he will hit his spots. If they start the Z man they should have him on a short leash. |

There is nothing good about this. The Mets can downplay it all they want, but this is some serious sh*t here. IF they are telling the truth and it is his hip, hip problems lead to elbow and shoulder problems if your a pitcher because of extra amount of strain you have to put on those joints if you have a bad hip. What's to make me believe that they are telling the truth here, they hid this whole thing from us to begin with and they haven't had a great history in terms of telling the truth to their fans. My personal belief is that Pedro will be put on the DL before sunday's game, Strickland will be called up, then Pedro will come off the DL next sunday and start vs the Marlins. |

Pedro is the only hope this team has of being anything this year. There is nothing good about this. More Mets BS trying to keep stuff from getting out. Every team does it, just seems like the Mets are the worst at it. |

If you think about it Zambrano may be perfect to start against the Yankees. Ralph Kiner used to say that for a team with outstanding hitting, where the hitters were in a groove, the worst thing they could see was a knuckleball pitcher. A knuckleball pitcher would totally screw up the hitters timing and it would have a carry over effect for the next few games. Now the Mets don’t have a knuckleball pitcher but the Z man is the next best thing. He has enormous movement on his pitches and he has no idea where they are going. He is all over the friggen place. The Yankees have been average 8.1 runs a game in this hot streak. They are going to have to approach the Z man as if he were a knuckleball pitcher in terms of movement, they will have to be very patient at the plate, and the Z man varies the speeds of his pitchers. It could throw the Yankee hitters off for a couple of days. Does anybody have statistics as to what a team does the game immediately following one when the Z man pitches against it. I would be interested in those statistics. |
