InterLeague play starts next week and I was wondering how you thought some of the teams are going to do. The four of most interest to local fans is the Mets and Yankees and the Redsox and Braves. I for one think the Redsox and Braves will split and the Yankees will take five of six from the Mets. In fact the Mets play the Braves after the Yankees and I would not be surprised that by the time the Mets finish both series they will be 8 games behind the Braves and for all intent dead in the NL East. I expect the Yankees to be in first place by the time they finish with Boston at the end of the Month.

I agree with Gategem.

I was interested to see what the AL and NL East matchups are and found this

AL East
--------
Bal - Phi, @Pit, @Cin, Hou, Col, @Atl
Bos - Atl, @Stl, @ChC, Cin, Pit, @Phi
Tor - Was, @ChC, @Hou, Stl, Mil, @Was
NYY - @NYM, @Mil, @Stl, Pit, ChC, NYM
TB - @Fla, @Cin, @Pit, Mil, Stl, Fla

NL East
----------
Atl - @Bos, LAA, Oak, @Tex, Bal
Fla - TB, Sea, Tex, @LAA, @TB
NYM - NYY, LAA, @Oak, @Sea, @NYY
Phi - @Bal, Tex, @Sea, @Oak, Bos
Was - @Tor, Oak, Sea, @LAA, @Tex, Tor

Who the f*ck comes up with these? How are these fair in any way? Florida gets TB twice. The Mets get the Yankees twice. The Braves get Boston and Baltimore. And Washington plays one more interleague game than the rest of the division. Silliness. MLB needs to come up a better system than this.

Wow what a surprise, the two negative nancy's are having a parade!!!

Not negative but realistic. From 1985 to 1989 I expected the Mets to win every year. It's amazing how different the world looks when people remove the rose colored glasses and see the world. Or as some people might say when one takes his head out of his behind he sees the world through a different persepective.

The mets swept the yankees at shea last season, dude you can't predict anything, especially with these two teams!!!
