During the playoffs he did do well, but he did lose
So RBI don't matter because they are effected by your teammates, but Wins and Losses are individual stats????

Close and Late
BA: .478
OBP: .520
SLG: .913
OPS: 1.433

i have eyes i know who does well and who doesnt do well, i watch pujols and read articles enough to know that pujols is clutch as hell and the second best player in the league.

Wow.

It's almost as if you don't want to believe that Beltran is a good player. You've blocked that fact out of your head totally.

Unbelievable. You should go on BBTN and let those guys rip you a new one for your stupidity.

Peter (is that your name?),

You sound like a younger me (you posters who were on MSG and YES know what I'm talking about). I mean I don't watch a lot of Mets games but I know Carlos Beltran is coming through with RISP and with RISP w/2 outs. You're purpose of bashing Beltran doesn't make any sense what so ever. I mean you would rather take Mike Cameron in CF over Carlos Beltran.

Wait a second, are you saying stats are empty? Now why is that? So you can keep bashing Beltran some more?

they dont say where he hit it, how hard he hit, who he hit it off of, how hot or cold piazza or floyd were.

Those first two stats are irrevelant. I bet MLB doesn't keep that 2nd stat (how hard he hit the ball). You probably have to watch the game to see where he hit the ball. Why are you bring up Piazza and Floyd in this? Irrevelant.

beltran has done most of his damage for pedro, our best pitcher, our ace.

Yeah, please do your research on the other days Glavine starts or even Heilman starts?

he is selfish because he doesnt move runners over, he misses cutoffs, the missing cutoffs just shows that he would rather not play with a team

Are you saying that if he misses a cutoff man, he is selfish? Read what you are saying dude because it's dumb. So if Sheff misses a cutoff man, he is selfish. How about Vlad, what if he misses a cutoff man does that mean he is selfish, too. I can name outfielders who miss their cutoff man. A LOT OF ML DON'T MOVE RUNNERS OVER. Look at the Yankees roster. There some players who don't know how to move a runner over. It doesn't make them selfish.

Right now beltran looks like an average player and he isnt even on a cold streak, wait till he gets on one of those.

YOU'RE BASHING HIM NOW. YOU'LL STILL BASH HIM WHEN HE HIS ON A COLD STREAK.

f*ck boras and this stupid ass league, people like him make it impossible for teams to compete even through drafting good talent, because he is not afraid to hold em out. The league cannot allow this kind of crap to continue.

Yeah, maybe Boras would even convince teams Zambrano is good enough to be paid.

By the way, the Yankees might end up with Stephen Drew or Jared Weaver as a result of them holding out.

I don't want either one of them.

They might not be NY material if they have the personalities of their brothers, but they might be the best available when the Yankees pick if other teams are afraid of their asking prices. If anything, they'd be sought after commodities down the road.
