Both are recently retired players. Both played the middle IF position of SS or 2B. Just giving you the first 9 years of their career, because after that the numbers tailed off for both.

Player A averages:

.315AVG .385OB% 16HR 75RBI 22SB 115R .973FP%

Player B averages:

.300AVG .390OB% 10HR 62RBI 40SB 106R .980FP%

player B better feilding, on base more often, hrs are not an important stat if he is a top of the order guy and i suspect he is and rbis are a team stat.

btw if player A is a shortstop and player B is a secondbasemen i would rather have A

Player A, higher average, more homeruns, more rbi's and more runs, OBP is pretty much the same!!!

Player B. 18 extra stolen bases, I look for speed alot more then power from my middle infielders...plus a better glove, better OBP...you can get your power from another position like OF or 1B.

Player B. The stolen bases and fielding percentage makes him the choice. But the fielding % might be skewed. If one played more time at SS, then his FP would naturally be lower than the other if he played more 2B.

Are they retired players? I haven't checked the stats but Player A gets me thinking Alomar. His career average was .300, but you said this is first 9 years and they tailed off.

#1 ATCQ fan! When will they be back?!

As far as I'm concerned, getting on base and stealing produce more runs than just simply hitting the long ball. I'd rather have player B, who is also a slightly better fielder.

The Cameron/Hunter comparison was easy to figure out, but I am not sure who these guys are. I was thinking Alomar too, but he had more than 9 nice seasons.

Actually player B might be Knoblauch.

Player B. We're talking about a leadoff hitter or a #2 hitter. Homeruns aren't really important.

Both are recently retired players. Both played the middle IF position of SS or 2B. Just giving you the first 9 years of their career, because after that the numbers tailed off for both.

Player A averages:

.315AVG .385OB% 16HR 75RBI 22SB 115R .973FP%

Player B averages:

.300AVG .390OB% 10HR 62RBI 40SB 106R .980FP%

I think he's lying about player A being retired.
