rayray i think he is saying he looks like orosco the way he is pitching

bell needs to come up with a big strikeout or a comebacker or a popup

The Koo man is the new Jesse Orosco.

Orosco was #47, not #17.

I don't care what number he is. He is there to get left handed hitters out and only that. Orosco very late in his career was a specialist who did that.

At least we battled back. Tough loss, but you have to give the team credit.

Both teams. The Cubs could have died after the DP in the ninth.

Game over, bell threw too many fastballs!!!

You can't second guess him. If he throws something not his best pitch, say he hangs a curveball, and the HR happens then you criticize him for going with his second best pitch.

It was a good game, the Cubs won, but it is just a game. Maybe we will do better against St' Louis.

Lee is not a good breaking ball hitter, bell was throwing fastballs right down the middle of the plate, you have to show him something else, if bell would have missed with his breaking pitch he would have missed down and away and lee would have walked, i would have taken that!!!

Before you criticize Bell you have to find out if he was just going with what the catcher was calling him. At this stage of his career he probably goes with whatever the catcher signals.

I missed the sequence of pitches because I was at my computer. I knew the Mets lost when I heard the crowd roaring from my TV (which is in another room). However, I saw the sequence on Sports Desk. I also saw an interview with Bell. It is obvious to me why Bell with great talent has never made it in the majors. He is one dumb mfer. What a schmuck. Willie has to remember that he is the Mets manager and not their bench coach and call Bell into his office and read the riot act. Simply put, Piazza has been catching for a long time, he calls a good game, he knows the hitters, and if Bell shakes Piazza off again and throws the fast ball and it is deposited over the fence the next fast ball that Bell throws will be down in Virginia. Bell is interviewing with a smirk on his face and hasn’t a clue that he threw to many fastballs in a row.

Bell is stubborn, he likes to challenge hitters too much, he throws too many fastballs over the plate which is why he gives up alot of homeruns, he'll learn that he can't get away with that sh*t in the majors!!!
