Classy my ass. Those guys beat the sh*t out of us to come back and win the ALCS then go on to win the WS. They're our arch rivals, we should've used this as motivation to kick the living sh*t out of them. Instead, we're kissing their asses. Sickening. :puke: |

There is nothing classy about Red Sox/Yankees. Those guys have talked so much sh*t about the Yankees, treat the enemy as the enemy. |

The Sox are the real team in this rivalry, they have things in perspective. The Yankees are too busy kissing the ground they walk on. They worship the Sox as much as the Boston fans do, it's f*cking disgraceful. I hate these losers, all of them. :fyou: |

He tipped his cap. That's baseball. Tipping the cap is done all the time, both figuratively and literally. The teams don't like each other, even if Torre tipped his cap to Francona. What did you want him to do, moon Francona in front of everyone? Whether he mooned him or congratulated him, it doesn't make one iota of difference in this game. Wakefield somehow becoming Cy Young against the Yankees every time the last couple of years has nothing to do with Torre's gesture to Francona. As for the point that the Sox have talked so much sh*t. Yeah, they have. They're sore winner a-holes. The Yankees try to stay away from that crap. Listen, I am sick after this game too. I just don't see how a classy move on Torre's part had anything to do with it. |

Joe should be trying to fire the team up to kick Boston's ass. |

Good point. I wonder why the Phillies didn't win more the last few years. Larry Bowa's intensity should have led to wins, apparently. |

It doesn't win games, but I'd rather see them come out intense and fired up instead of lifeless. |

I'm not happy with alot of things Joe has done the past few years but he shouldn't have to "fire" up this team. These guys were on the field last year during the ALCS. They all know what happened. If last years collapse isn't enough to motivate and piss you off enough to come out wanting to beat everyone's brains in I don't know what will. They should be self motivated to want to destroy the Sox. In fact, I don't care if it's September and they are playing the D-Rays and have a 13 game lead in the East- they should still be motivated enough to want to crush the D-Rays as well. Look at the starting lineup we throw out there. Everyone (aside from A-Rod) has played in the biggest stage there is. They know what it takes to get there- but nobody is playing at that level. Today more than any game played so far this season should have been enough to want to sh*t all over the Sox day. Instead, they all decided to take the afternoon off. |

YF03, you are absolutley right. The Yanks' "classiness" set the tone for their terrible play. This team has no drive. |

Soft L's is the most popular term around here, but like BC said there is also Poolboy. I've seen him and Vin use it quite often talking about A-Rod. I use it once in a while as well. |
