By his own admission, Moose said when he got smacked in the head, requiring 30 stitches, he was scared and gun shy for at least 2 months. :dunno:

moose's linedrive was to the face, wasn't it? and it looks a lot worse than pavano's. not to underscore what happened yesterday, but you thought moose was dead when he got that linedrive off the face with the orioles.

The worst I've seen is when Ryan Thompson hit that kid on Boston. That was awful.

Pavano is the one who got drilled, so he's the one to worry about.

pavano seems like the type unaffected by that sort of thing. i think the point of the post is that mussina is such a wimp that just the reminder of getting a liner up the middle might scare him. i don't think even mussina is that wimpy though.

Mussina is a wimp when it comes to pitching inside and stuff, but yeah, I don't think this will effect in the sense that he'll be gun shy. At least I hope not.

That's about the 20th time I've read a post like that. I guess O-B-O likes to enjoy himself.

Mussina is also one of the best fielding pitchers in baseball and gets himself in a great position at the end of his delivery. I'm sure seeing another pitcher get hit in the head won't affect him at all. I certainly don't blame the guy for being a little scared the next few times out there, but I am sure he's plenty over it, and won't be affected by something that had nothing to do with him.

Sake it to me baby, yeah!!!!
