he's looking real good against a tough phillie lineup. no baserunners allowed through 4. i cant say i wish him ill, since he would have been a hero for us if we win game 5 against boston. he did all we could have asked out of the pen in the playoffs. i certainly wish he could have regained past form with us when he started though. |

I think he'll do OK for Washington. I am just happy he was a way to get out of the last 2 years of Contreras' deal. I'll wish him luck even just for that. |

he just gave up the lead. pat burrell is on fire so far this year. if he can hit his 40 hrs this year, phillies could win that division |

He sucked for us, but he did get us out of Contreras' deal. I don't wish him good or bad luck. I just don't care about him. |

When JFL is your ace and opening day starter, you're not winning sh*t. Right now they have JFL, Wolf, Padilla, Lidle, and I can't think of their 5th starter. All of those guys are #3/#4 starters. They have no ace. They need to trade for a starter if they want to win that division. Right now it's either the Braves or Marlins! |

Sadly, outside of Sturtze he was the only other reliever who actually pitched with any guts in playoffs. He gets props from me just for that. I wish him the best and hope he does well in Washington. |

I didn't really care about Loaiza, because I knew he wasn't going to stay a Yankee even if the Yankees had beaten the Sox in last year's ALCS. With that being said I was surprised he pitched that well in last year's ALCS. Before he had that one break out year with the Chisox, Loaiza had been pretty dreadful throughout his career. As for the Phillies, I think they do need a true ace in order to win that division. If they don't either the Marlins or the Braves will win that division. Lieber's a good pitcher, but he's NOT a bonafide ace. You can't go far in the playoffs when you have a #3 leading your staff!! |

Yeh, would have been ideal if we could have dumped Brown on someone and had the JFL as our #5. Oh Well, more potential for The Wanger  |

I doubt that The Wanger will be a good pitcher, but he can't be worse than Brown, that's for sure. |

I don't care how he does, I'd like to stay far away from Loaiza. |

Loaiza was the only Yankee pitcher to show any balls in the last 4 games of the ALCS last year. He'll always be a warrior. |

I tell you what, I respect the hell out of Loaiza. He was huge out of the pen, too bad our f*cking lineup could sniff homeplate in the extra sessions. :wall: |

Vinnie, no beaches of Tampa this year for El Duque! He was great yesterday for the ChiSox. He got his first non-Yankee win. Gotta love The Duke! |
