I did. My comment was more in response to your prior posts about Mo last season. |

Yup. We need to start an A-Rod thread soon too. That guy has worked himself to the very bottom of my shitlist. |

I get the feeling that he'll piss me off enough times throughout the season, but I'm not gonna kill him for the error. That would be making him the scapegoat/shield for Mariano stinking. Also, A-Rod put a run on the board. All Mariano did was come in and negate it. And again, I'm more irked by the fans than Mariano. He isn't trying to blow the save but the fans are making a conscious effort to stick their heads up his ass. |

You can make all the lists you want. Mo is the closer, period, we're NOT getting anybody else. All we can do is hope that somehow, some way Mo figures out what is wrong and can do something to fix it. I won't count on it though, I've seen this movie too many times since 2000. |

That's right. There is NO way this organization would pull that and without words, make the statement that, "Mariano can't get it done against these guys and we're sick of him choking. We've gotta bring someone in to be our 'pinch closer' sorta like a strong armed backup QB who comes in to throw the Hail Marys." That ain't happening and I think Mariano will be our closer until atleast the 2006 season. We've gotta live with it. But it would help me live a little easier if I didn't have to deal with bullshitting fans. |

we could still use relievers that can get boston's main guns out. what yankee matches up well against them? it doesn't seem like a single one |

They're coming around Strider, he was booed today. There's still more like CM and others who won't do that, but the people at the Stadium today... there were a fair amount of boos. |

I'd follow Mo into Hell but I would have boo'd him too. The fans, the media and the team have got to stop enabling him. |

Well, we wanted Mo to change and he did. Everything was outside, outside, outside and he was falling behind and sucking. I'd rather he get beat with his best, rather than the sh*t I saw out there today. I've never seen Mo like that. He was afraid to throw inside! And Torre left him out there way too long. After the Ortez RBI, he should have been out of there. Instead he left him in so long the Sox put the game out of reach. |

A classic Clueless Joe move. Sadly, I can't say I'm surprised. |

He was just sitting there like a lump of sh*t on a log. I thought he would take Mo out as soon as the Sox tied it. Then I thought he would take him out after the Ortez RBI. Then I thought he'd take him out after the Renteria hit...after all that he just left him out there to get crushed! Stupidity. And by making adjustments, that means you mix things up a little. You don't go and turn into a different pitcher! Throwing "cutter, cutter, cutter, cutter" all on the ouside corner and falling behind 3-1 to every hitter! He just seems lost out there against the Sox. :no1: |
