I think it's sad that all objective posters are labelled "eternal pessimists."

No, he isn't. If there's cause to be optimistic, I think he could be optimistic. But a lot of what your basing this on was last season, when there were tons of good reasons to be down on the Mets and very few reasons to be satisfied.

No, I'm also basing it on this offseason.
Almost every single thing he posted was some kind of negative comment.
This is the first optimistic/happy thing he's posted in a long while.
Maybe you should look back at the past few months.

You can't qualify as objective if you choose to constantly ignore an entire set of facts when making a judgement.

We're leading our Spring Training division? Not bad for a team with a ton of new faces!
Too many times I've seen Detroit and Montreal lead the standings in Spring Training and go on to win 50 games in the regular season. I'm almost hoping that the Mets start losing some games here.

Not sure about that. One positive year was 1988 when both the Mets and Dodgers had the best records. Look what happened their.

LOL champ is ALWAYS pessimistic. There's no denying that.
71-91 last. 91 f*ckin losses. And we traded our top prospect for something other than a superstar. Before that? 72-90 after so much expectations? Is it my fault the teams I support have sucked recently?
I said 90 wins would be great this year because that would be 20 more wins. And that's negative? Thinking that we can't win the division is negative because the Braves have won it for the last 10 years? Negative because I feel trading one of the top prospects in baseball for something very average is a bad idea? Negative because I think having a weak RF arm is a possible recipe for disaster? Negative because I don't agree with every single decision any of my teams make? Please.
I was FOR getting Beltran. I was skeptical about the price but was ecstatic when the Mets paid it. I was all FOR giving Heilman another chance. I was all FOR rebuilding and giving our young prospects a chance. Negative? I'm not always the most objective poster, but I try to put things in perspective by keeping expectations low.

Whenever something little comes up, whether it be an article about something minor and pointless that Justin posts, or just anything like that........it seems you ALWAYS say something negative in response to whatever it is.

Then you and Joe B. are the reasons these clubs keep on losing. You guys are like that guy in the old comic strip “Lil Abner” that has this cloud that always follows him and keeps raining on him. Do us all a favor and go root for the Yankees so our teams can win once in a while.
