Before asking a staff member a question, check to see if it's on here. When was TYZ created? -The board itself was created on January 29th, 2004 by Rob. Big Apple Sports was later founded on April 28th, 2004, and the present state of the board, The Yankee Zone, was founded in late 2007. ----------------------------------------------------- Who are the staff? -Go here: Meet the Staff ----------------------------------------------------- Can I make a post as a guest? -No, sorry. You must create an account with us before you can start new threads or reply to existing threads. Guest posting is turned off for this board. ----------------------------------------------------- I registered. Why can't I post yet? -Administrators must manually approve new accounts and sometimes we may miss new members. Once you sign up, you can read all the topics, but you cannot post in them. Once you are approved, you will then be able to post replies and start new topics. Just be patient; it usually doesn't take very long for an administrator to approve you. ----------------------------------------------------- Why are my PMs disabled? -We have had some problems with users joining the board for the sole purpose of advertising their forums through our Personal Message system. This is an explicit no-no, so we have disabled PM abilities for all new posters. You will get them back after you have reached 20 posts. ----------------------------------------------------- I recieved a PM advertising another website/forum. What do I do with it? -Forward it to an Administrator. We will take care of the poster who was responsible. If there are no administrators online, just forward it to either a Global Moderator or Forum Moderator. It is imperative that the matter be taken care of as soon as possible. ----------------------------------------------------- I have a question/comment/suggestion about the board. Where do I ask it? -If you're able to, PM a Staff Member. If you haven't gotten your PM abilities back yet, just leave a thread in here.* One of our members will answer your question as soon as possible.* ----------------------------------------------------- What happens if I disobey the Board Guidelines or the InvisionFree TOS? -Hopefully this doesn't occur, but if you happen to break one of our rules, we will take the action prescribed in our Code of Conduct. It can range from a simple warning, to a suspension of your account. ----------------------------------------------------- How do I get onto the staff? -At the moment, we are not looking to add any new staff members. ----------------------------------------------------- How do I change my member name? -Just PM an Administrator and it will be taken care of. ----------------------------------------------------- How can I become an affiliate of your board? -Read the Affiliate Guidelines in here. ----------------------------------------------------- Why is the Search Feature disabled? -InvisionFree has disabled it on all the boards. No, we do not know when it will be back online. ----------------------------------------------------- Can I advertise my forum/website in my signature? -You can only do this if your forum and/or website is already an approved affiliate of ours. Otherwise, it's considered spamming and it will be removed and you will be warned. If you are caught advertising through the PM system, you will be instantly banned. We do not tolerate PM advertising AT ALL. No exceptions!! ----------------------------------------------------- I want to put your banner on my forum/website. -Look here. ----------------------------------------------------- Can I use the skin and/or buttons here for my board? -Only if you give the proper credit. This skin and button set was not made by us. ----------------------------------------------------- If I get warned, what do I have to do to get it lowered? -We'll keep an eye on you, and if you prove to be a good poster after awhile without breaking any rules, a Staff Member will lower it. ----------------------------------------------------- Why are the threads in the Help Desk locked? -The Help Desk forum is for questions and problems; so after an issue has been resolved, we will close that thread.
