I like every move we made except I would have signed Lieber at 1yr 8mil instead of Wright 3yr/21mil. :-| It's amazing how much garbage we got rid of and what talent we brought in. This team will be significantly better than last year. Issues still to address: 1!. Getting rid of Giamroid :annoyed: 2. A lefty specialist for the pen :dunno: 3. A good utility infielder (trade for Marco Scutaro perhaps??) :smirk: 4. A good defensive/speedy CF :wtf: 5. More starting pitcher (with ML experience) depth for the inevitable injuries :mm: Bloww me. |

I thought for sure the Yankees were going to sign Steve Kline but he signed with the O's. The Yankees also could have signed Mike Myers but now he is with the Cards. My options that are left on the FA market: Scott Stewart (LA) or Buddy Groom (BAL). I'd rather go with Stewart because of his age.
With Desi Relaford signing with the Rockies <_< , there aren't a lot of options left. Alex Cora, if the Yankees hurry up because he might sign with the Indians. Alex Cora: Heading for Cleveland Andy Fox, Lou Merloni, Ricky Gutierrez, Dave Berg, and Rey Sanchez.
Besides Tom Goodwin, that's it. Tom Goodwin probably going to be a back-up, if he signs.
I would like to see the Yankees go out and sign Jeriome Robertson or Damian Moss (LHP's) to minor league contracts. Hideo Nomo is an option but don't sign him. Aaron Sele could be signed as a 5th starter, if Brown is hurt. Free Agent Tracker ('04-'05) Look at the list. |

Moss is a FA? They should sign him to a minor league deal if he is. |

My two options went off the list during the week. Alex Cora went to Cleveland and Ricky Gutierrez went to Seattle. Indians: Cora coming Sele returning to Seattle; Mariners add Gutierrez I think the only options that are left are Andy Fox, Lou Merloni, Dave Berg, and Rey Sanchez. If the Yankees want a back-up in CF, it would be Tom Goodwin because he is speedy. |
