Damian Moss has control problems and got released by the Rays.  I'd sign him to a minor league deal and try to work out his probs.

With Mel around? I don't think so. :please: :no2:

What's the difference, he'll be good for Columbus (Patterson) but suck for us (Mel).

I would hope we wouldn't need him this year.

Well, if we do sign him, I'd expect him to be the first to get called up when Kevin Brown gets hurt.

So I think they'd go with someone who has experience.

Moss isn't a guy you can count on despite experience. Steve Sparks is out there, but the thought of Posada trying to catch a knuckleballer. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'd rather not think about it, MM.

Anyway, I thought the Yankees should have given Jeriome Robertson a chance down the stretch but he signed with Cleveland. They should have signed him to a minor league deal when the off-season started.

Damian Moss wouldn't be a bad option either, if the Yankees signed him to a minor league contract. The Yankees just need fix Moss' control problems.

Invite Wang to Spring Training. If Wang does well in Spring Training, the Yankees do have another option open in the 5th spot.

:please: Look at his stats. Jeriome Robertson sucks.

And as Strider will undoubtedly point out, he even spells his first name funny. If he didn't already suck, that would be the killer right there. :smirk:

:please: Actual Robertson's control is his best asset!

He has no velocity and no movement. I'd rather go with DePaula (if he's healthy) or Wang, than him.

Perhaps sign Steve Sparks and on the rare times he has to pitch, use Flaherty. It might not be too bad having a knuckleballer. Would be a huge contrast to our flamethrowers like Johnson and throw the batters off. :peace:

I'd sign a couple of these jackovs anyway. You throw a bunch of sh*t against the wall, and see what sticks. The Clippers need pitchers too.

You were saying your previous post.

Robertson's stats

I'm going to prove a point. His ERA has never dropped below 5 but if you look at his BB to SO ratio; it isn't all great.

Starting with 2002: BB: 5 SO: 6
'03: BB: 64, SO: 99
'04: BB: 9, SO: 6.

If the Yankees sign him to a minor league deal and they improve his control problems, they might get a good pitcher.

That is a good point. Even though Steve Sparks worries me, he would be a nice change of pace from the Johnsons of the world or the Kevin Browns.

That's right, cm. :D
