From the NY Post

Quote:

The Yanks believe they have a sleeper possibility for their rotation. Chien-Ming Wang signed for $1.9 million out of Taiwan in 2000 and after a long run of injuries, he excelled in a Columbus cameo (5-1, 2.01 ERA). The late-season scouting report of an admiring AL competitor states the 25-year-old righty has a plus fastball (89-94 mph) and a plus slider. The key will be whether his continued work on a changeup and split provides an off-speed pitch to combat lefties. However, another AL team projects Wang as a useful set-up man. There is so much Yankee organizational annoyance at Kevin Brown — and fear about his health — that Wang may actually get a chance.

That's quite a range with the fastball. Unless the 89 is a 2-seamer, the difference between 89 and 94 is Al Leiter and Johan Santana.

Call me ignorant: I don't care what anyone says, Chien-Ming will not be sh*t. You cannot be a good pitcher with that name. Ya'll can hop off the Melky bandwagon too. Take it to the bank. And when it turns out that I was right, I want my credit.

He's probably nothing more than a modern day Randy Kielsler. He could be our Bronson Aryro though.

I have no idea who they are. I ripped it off some other guy's signature. I was intrigued by the fact that hot bitches were wearing Giants apparell.
