Tino Martinez as the 9th hitter. That's a scary lineup if Giambi can be 75 % of what he was. |

With this group there is no right lineup. They all suck my balls. A 200 million dollar team should not have Tino getting 500 AB's and Bad Knees Bernie as its starting CF. |

You hate Posada that much or you're doing Joe's "No switchies back-to-back"? 2B - Womack SS - Jeter 3B - Rodriguez RF - Sheffield LF - Matsui CF - Williams (.348/32 HR/139 RBI) 1B - Martinez C - Posada DH - Giambi (f*ck his feelings) |

Doesn't really matter, the lineup will be changed a few times throughout the season anyway if there is an injury, and more likely because there will, as usual, be two or three guys who aren't holding up their ends of the bargin. <_< |

Womack's OBP is not worthy of being a leadoff hitter. I'd rather he bat ninth. Plus, BC's right. For 200 mil, Giambi, Bernie, and Tino should not be getting 500 ABs. If I had to create the lineup, it'd be SS- Jeter R CF- Williams S- He can still walk well and hit fastballs,so this is a spot 3B- Rodriguez R- He better do better this year RF- Sheffield R- Should get a lot or RBIs LF- Matsui L C- Posada S 1B- Martinez L DH- Giambi L 2B- Womack L We have a lot of lefties in a row, but there's no real way to fix that without hurting the lineup. I would really love Magglio Ordonez in LF and Matsui in CF, which would make our lineup SS- Jeter R DH- Williams/Giambi S/L 3B- Rodriguez R RF- Sheffield R CF- Matsui L LF- Ordonez R C- Posada S 1B- Giambi/Martinez L/L 2B- Womack L |

As it should. We're looking at a repeat of 2003. I'll f*cking jump off the GWB if RJ loses a game in the postseason 2-1 or 3-2. I honestly think that's where we're headed. |

Sounds like a great line-up for Opening Day,and I hope that The Yankees win the first game of the season at The Stadium,an ESPN 2 Sunday Night Game. Big Unit vs Shilling will be the greatest AL East pitching Showdown of the year, and I can't wait to see it happen, since Clemens vs Pedro.I hope that The Big Unit beats Shilling back to back times in 2005. |

2B - Womack SS - Jeter LF - Matsui 3B - Rodriguez RF - Sheffield C - Posada DH - Giambi CF - Williams 1B - Martinez I know batting Shef 5th may not be the best place for him, but if Gay-Rod can step up it could work out for both Matsui & Shef. This team will have major problems if either Matsui or Shef get hurt. :no1: |

Very true, I've given up on him and, after last year, I hate Gay-Rod, he'll have another decent season at best. I don't know how Bernie will be either. He did alright in the ALCS, but he didn't have the greatest regular season. |
