Not by choice. I guarantee the organization discussed it and reached the conclusion getting out of that contract was virtually impossible.

Exactly. We are stuck with him...now it's up to him to get and shape and do something positive. The 'roids didn't give him good hand-eye coordination, so hopefully he gives us something good this year.

I gurantee that if Giambi in '05 has the season he had last year then the Yanks will buy him out next year. That's a guarntee. They're giving him one season to show if he can still play.

Uh.....you mean we release him and someone else picks him up for the league minimum and we pay the rest?

Or

We trade him and basically eat the whole contract and get back a 12 pack of Busch Lite.

Or

Uh....I know there can't already be a buy out in this mega deal he signed after only the 4th year.....
