I too thought Johnson handled the situation well. He apologized right from the get go. What I didn't like is that some of the reporters didn't really accept his apology. It's like how many times does he have to apologize? Like who the hell are they? W/o Johnson there they wouldn't even have a story. I could care less about a stupid camera man. He could be replaced, but the Big Unit can't. Some of these reporters will eat their words once Johnson pitches some big games here. This altercation will seem like years ago. When the Big Unit pitches against Bastan he will come in high and tight to some batters. He will have some classic battles w/ Ortiz and Ramirez and I hope he gets them out most of the time as well Varitek and Damon. It's going to be fun when he mows down the Bastan batters...1,2,3. He's going to be fun to watch and I'm glad that he's on our side for once. :peace: |

He has a high era against Boston is his career, but those stats are misleading if you ask me. The last time he was in the American League was part of 98 because then after he got traded to Houston. Are those combined stats of Bastan's latest lineup? If they are that's pretty nice. I don't think Ortiz has ever faced RJ? ... :dunno: |

Combined. Never faced Ortiz before. I hope in his first AB he sends him a fastball right at the elbow pad. |

Those numbers will change though this year. Hopefully it will go down instead of up. Nixon, Ortiz, and Mientkwiecz aren't included in those stats. For the most part though he's done pretty well against Bastan's lineup. |
