Tommorows new years so im "resting" tonight" and i wont be around tommorow so... Offense: This sh*t is not complicated. they couldnt defend the pass when we were good, they aint gonna defend the pass when we're bad. They'll blitz the living sh*t out of Manning. So if they can blitz but cant cover small retarted children, what do we do? Run the ball wow that was hard to figure out....run early and get them to chill the f*ck out with the blitz. 14 first half carries would be sufficient. Except problem is they shut down Tiki the first time. We ran too many dives in that game. So I figure, spread the field this time. Trips, 4 wide, Shotgun, run out of that formation. The blitz the hell out of spreads, and they overload one side so if you beat the blitz its the safety and the endzone. Run to the backside out of 4 wide and run to the pressure side in a trips. If we have 65 yds rushing at the half we'll win. The rest of the game we can just pound it out (they'll back off and adjust) finish around 23 or 24. Quick passing routes in the first half (not retard proof, hes better than he was 4 weeks ago) Slants, comebacks, maybe mix in a TE post or slot seam but not too much of that in the first half. Once the 2nd half rolls around and they're more responsible toward the run we can let Eli go a little bit with some downfield routes. This is really the best team to end the year against, we wont win this game in the first half unless they give it away. Defense: Our D-Line has to step up again. They're gonna pund away with Jones 25-30 times. The good thing is he is more of a power runner with quickness. He doesnt have breakaway speed in the openfield. So we should be blitzing alot. If we can just keep their running game managable 75-85 yards then we should be fine. Either way we should be blitzing from the edges. Blitzing the interior doesnt do as much bc/ A. it wont stop Jones from picking up 3 or 4 and B. its easier for Testeverde to check off of. Blitz with the OLB's, Safeties and CB's. The more we blitz from inside the box the more we play to every strength they have. Testeverde, Jones, Witten, the best thing to do is play zones that favor the box losen up on the outside (they cant burn us) and blitz blitz from there. If they want to they can throw 34 hitch and quick out routes, their offense isnt good enough to sustain it. We should win this game. But we should win alot of games. |
