Chad Pennington has not been the same qb since his injury. It has affected his throwing motion, accuracy and velocity. He has also lost confidence and his fiery demeanor. What do the Jets do if Chad comes out this Sunday and stinks the place up? A loss and the Jets go home. Don’t expect the Bills or Broncos to lose. I have seen over and over again where a number one player is injured and the coach sticks with him. Sometimes the player gives a superhuman effort and wins but most often the team loses. What do you guys think the Jets should do? How would you change the game plan to compensate for Chads problems? |

His velocity didn't look at bad against Seattle ;). But Chad is clearly hurt, maybe 85% healthy tops, and will need surgery at the end of the season, but he is playing through it, and quite frankly I'd rather have an 85% Chad than Quincy. Chad should have no problem picking apart the Rams defense, it's horrible. And CMart/Jordan will have a marathon on this defense, leaving Pennington with easier decisions to make, simple as that. |

I don't notice any difference. Chad has never put zip on a ball in his life. That's like saying, "Age really robbed Edgar Martinez of his speed." It wasn't there to begin with. I'll admit, I can't throw for sh*t either. But give me a target within 15 ft. and I'll zing that sh*t much harder than Pennington. This is just an excuse. Moss is right. Nothing was wrong with his velocity against the Seahawks. He was getting by with "bitch arm" just like he did in 2002. He's just making mistakes in his reads and trying to force passes. Chad needs to go back to being extra-conservative and careful. That's when he's at his best. |

You gotta be f*cking kidding me. He has one of the best records as a Jets head coach in history, he has won a Division title, made the playoffs 2 of his 3 years and it's looking to be 3 of his 4 years...He's 1-2 in the playoffs and hopefully will improve on that...Yeah, lets fire a man who's winning  |

Manning is a rookie. He has the ability to improve his game. Your QB is 28 and hasnt had ONE healthy full season!!!!!!!!!!!! If anything Chad "overrated" Pennington is the bust! The next Montana? :laugh2: |

Sounds to me like he's already coming up with a good excuse for when he chokes and we don't make the playoffs. This is inexcusable. We should've wrapped up a playoff spot long ago. I knew those PATHETIC losses to Buffalo and Baltimore would bite us. If Chad doesn't suck it up and play well this Sunday, I won't be forgivng him for this season. He has been a major disappointment. |

Couldn't agree more Strider. And I'm sick of excuses from million dollar athletes. I heard enough of them following the Yankees' collapse. |

 Sadly it's true. I actually think Chad is a good qb, but he's not going to be one of the all-time greats, that's for sure. And yeah, it's pitiful he can't have at least 1 FULL healthy season. What the hell are we paying him for again? Potential? What a load of sh*t. |

Yes, Herm is by far one of the worst coaches in the league but Pennington has been dissapointing becuase Paul Hackett somehow created an offensive system that puts the QB in constant situations to fail. Pennington ran this offense just fine when it was the 'Testaverde game-planned' offense. He is no Peyton Manning but he is much better than this. |

How true. Hackett has to go. All signs point to him getting the boot after this year. Yes! |

Herm is a good coach, he inspires his players to go out there and win. Unfortunatley, when he gets out there...he fucks up the place. Chad is a better QB then this and QBs can last until their late 30's so Chad has another decade in him before he is done. If he can get his shoulder surgery then he'll come back and be a great QB next season. I rest 90% of the blame on Hackett this year. He has predictable play calling that can be shut down against a good defense. Henderson's D can only last so long against the onslaught of an offense like the Steelers or Patriots. There is a lot of work to be done this off-season, and hopefully Herm and Bradway can put together a FA signing, Re-Sign someone unexpected, and a great draft |
