I thought Sowell was starting

Hes the best FB in the league by far.

Martin defintley deserved to go, as did Abraham, even though he got hurt. Sowell and Robertson should have made it.

Didn't I read some where a few weeks back that Sowell was going to be starting? :???: I thought I saw it on the Jet board.

Because the Pro Bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest. You have fans , who make up one-third of the vote, voting for anyone on their own team and/or names they recognize.

Players and coaches vote mostly for their own, regardless of what they say.

Journalists vote for players they are familiar with or have a rapport with.

No different than voting for Homecoming King.

Yeah, but Trotter isn't that popular. He went to a Pro Bowl in 2001 and has been injured and "ehh" since. He's not an "NFL Icon". I'd expect someone like Urlacher or Arrington to get the "Cuz we know his name" votes, not Trotter.

bullsh*t ALERT: Vick is on the roster. Ahead of Favre, Delhomme, Brooks, and Griese. Even Harrington has better numbers.

Donald Driver, Mike Clayton, Bruce, or Holt can replace Owens if he doesn't go.

The AFC got the roster right (and that's why they'll stomp our asses) except for Tomlinson over Dillon and the Hines Ward vote. Dain is popular and didn't go last year (not snubbed) and he does have a bunch of TDs but Dillon's rushing is better.
Reggie Wayne, Stokely, Derrick Mason, Jimmy Smith, Rod Smith, and Jerry Porter are all more deserving. I know about the intangibles and the running game but his catching stats aren't there.
