Here is my 2005 Giants team, well atleast some of it is what I would like to see. Offense: QB- Eli Manning RB- Tiki Barber(would like to get a young back through the draft also) FB- Jim Finn TE- Shockey, and Rivers WR- Porter, Toomer, and Taylor/Carter LT- ??? LG- ??? C- O'Hara RG- Snee RT- Petigout Defense: DT- Hand, and Robbins- both were good if we can upgrade then I'd do it, I dont really know who is out there. LE- Strahan RE- Osi Uminuyora Our 3 LB's all suck so we need new ones I dont know who is available CB- Allen CB- Peterson- these two are overated but there aren't many really big upgrades we can get. FS- Gibril Wilson SS- Williams if we cant find a replacement. This is pretty much the same team. Remember we were a good team at 5-2 however hard that is to believe. But with Eli at QB and if we get an O-line we could be really good. Our defense has also been good this year when healthy. |

If we cut Williams, we take a big cap hit, I believe. |

He's contracted (backloaded, obviously) through 2008. I don't remember his exact signing bonus (which counts against the cap in FULL or split in half and applied over 2 years, depending on when he is released, as opposed to being pro-rated throughout the length of the contract) and details of his contract, but, I believe he isn't any class of FA for 2 years. (If anyone knows, fill it in or I'll go find it.) It's just too much math to do right now to know one way or the other. Like I said, I believe his release would bang us cap-wise, but, I could be wronger than a fat man in a speedo. |

In The 2005 NFL Draft The G-Men better get most of The Offense, and 3 Linebackers from the draft from all Draft rounds. |

Yes those are. I dont know what offensive linemen are available but we can live with the 3 of Snee, O'Hara, and Petigout. I also dont know what LB's are available. Anyone have an FA list of those positions? |
