Id also be scared shitless of other teams with cover corners like Baltimore, Denver, New York, and San Diego.

I know I shouldnt think too much into it, but ive spent all year tryin to get this damn kid to think with his damn head instead of "oh we'll win bc/ we're the Patriots".

That defense has been exposed against the run (Indy Week 1) and offensively with the pass (last week)

id be shitting my pants

Well no, I mean . . . I talked (what you call "sh*t") because.

A Some Giant fans are laughing their ass off. When their team, has how many wins? 5 is it?

B Some Jet fans are laughing their ass off and some are talking "sh*t" (mainly NYjetsMoss). When the Jets, though they are a contender and are a very good team, still dont have as good a record as us, and we have beaten them out for the division 2 straight years.

:smirk:

I wouldn't think much into it though, although I do agree that these Boston posters, like all Bostonians and New Englanders, are retarded. Every team has a bad week. I'd still bet that New England wins the Super Bowl, only because I don't see any team being able to stop them except the Colts, and the Colts would have to play them in the cold on the road. The Steelers don't scare me. Bettis would get stuffed if they play New England again. He's lost more than a step over the past few years. Plus, I think New England will get healthy and be able to shutdown the pass.

You'd have a better conversation talking to a brick wall than any Bostonian. It's not the effort.

The Steelers havnt scared me in 2 months, a few bounces of the ball and they're sittin at 9-5 right now. Cant believe the refs f*cked us out of that game.....

Im not so sure it was just a bad week. They played a 2 deep shell and used Surtain and Madison underneath (thus be afraid of teams with cover corners)

Could've been just a bad game, but I dont think so

Baltimore and Denver? :please: Not scared at all.
San Diego: We can beat them, definetly
New York (Jets): Now, I think the Jets can give us more than a run for our money, both this week and in the playoffs. But I still think the Patriots will win.
Pittsburgh: :please: We didnt have Dillon or Law, they arent beating us in the playoffs
Indianapolis: No . . . Not happening.

Yes, I'am a little worried after losing to the Miami Dolphins.

But Im very confident in the Patriots. They havent let me down before, so until they do, I refuse to doubt them :peace:

Absolute ignorance, makes me doubt you even watched the game Monday.

They played two deep and covered underneath.

And you're not afraid of the two teams with the best cover corners in the AFC?

Think again

If (the normally clutch) Brady, doesnt throw the ball into the air without looking (that 3rd INT), then the Pats win the game.

Yes, I did watch the whole game Monday, how do you think I made that thread about the game :-|

Uh, there was plenty of time for the Phins to march down field (as they did the drive before) had Brady not been picked off.

How can you even think that determined the game?

Your Mr. Football expert, do you HONESTLY think the Dolphins would've had another 70 yard drive on the Patriots, in the final 2 and a half minutes? :please:

Your Mr. Football expert, do you HONESTLY think the Dolphings would've had another 70 yard drive on the Patriots, in the final 2 and a half minutes? :please:

first of all off the sack you punt inside the 20.

On a nice punt Welker fields it at his 40 (and provided he doesnt get a good run back) lets say they take over at their 42. 58 yds from the endzone with about 1:40 left.

Thats plenty of time, considering they drove 40 yds (Pass Interference on McMicahel) on the actual drive, I think theres a pretty good chance they get it inside the 30, and by that tome all bets are off.

So yeah they could drive downfield, Brady's INT did not decide the game, its unfathomable why you would think that had you watched the game

The facts are, the Patriots played terribly, their worst game in I dont know how long.

The only reason why it was so close is cause the Dolphins flat out suck.

If this was against any other team, the game wouldnt of been close.

They played, a miserable, pathetic, horrible , undisiplined game.

And they have some problems to adress before playoff time.

But I dont doubt for one second that the Patriots will be in the Super Bowl :peace:

But I dont doubt for one second that the Patriots will be in the Super Bowl :peace:

saying they played terrible is one thing. Figuring out why is another. Now once you figure out why then you can decide if its a coincidental one game thing or a fundamental flaw.

So lets look at this:

Corey Dillon pounds the sh*t out of them 26 times for 121. They have a solid front, the running game is not an isse.

Brady goes 18/29 (low for him) 171 (low for him) 3-4. There is your f*ckin problem on offense.

The way Dillon ran the ball THERE IS NO REASON for his numbers to be coincidentally this bad. Then you look at the INT's.

3 of them went to the safeties who spent the entire game in a 2-deep shell. And since his comp% was so low they covered the underneath routes very well (and because of that) Brady forced the ball downfield.

Therfore as I say, id be scared shitless of teams with cover CB's who can shut it down underneath and force the ball downfield. Alot of other teams are gonna go by what they did in the playoffs.

Do you understand the concept of why your offense could be in trouble?

Defensively is not as much of a problem, their offense, when run correctly, is deceptively good.

And I should add they've played "cover corner" teams 3 times. Miami twice, Baltimore once.

Brady threw for 76 yds vs. Miami (36% comp 2 TD 1 INT) and 172 vs. Baltimore (50% comp 0 TD 0 INT)

The Baltimore game was in the f*cking pooring rain from early second quarter through the end of the game, the field was in absolute terrible shape, players were slipping left and right.

And that was his best game of the 3

and the Patriots never seem to match up well vs Miami.

It was one game, big deal :dunno:

14-2 isnt bad :smirk:

Patriots fans can talk all the sh*t they want to. Their team has won 2 out of the last 3 SBs and they're making a run for trophy #3.

That doesn't happen in these dark days of parity.
