Feel free to contribute or contest, but this is the list of players I do not want to see wearing the blue and white next season. On Offense: 1. Jason Whittle 2. David Deihl(Maybe can keep for backup) 3. Ike Hilliard(Like Strider has said, we need a deep threat number 1) 4. Vincente Shiancoe(Need a better blocking TE) 5. Jesse Palmer(No big loss) 6. Ron Dayne 7. Mike Cloud(We should draft a back in the mid rounds) 8. Wayne Lucier(Has no business being an NFL player) 9. Brandon Winey(Haven't seen much, but when he's played, he's sucked) I would be OK keeping Warner as a backup, although it's no big loss On Defense: 10. Shaun Williams(Even if Wilson isn't healthy, he's overrated and cost a lot) 11. Brent Alexander(Does anyone realize he's been starting every week) 12. Will Allen(Overrated to the core, but knowing our ownership, that will result in a big extension) 13. Terry Cousin(It's sad that we have a mediocre small corner at SS) 14. Nick Griesen(Did this guy ever learn to tackle) 15. Lance Legree(Hopefully we can get some quality depth at end next year) 16. Keith Washington(Ditto) 17. Omar Stoutmeir That's about it for the guys that I want off this team next season. Green or Emmons could be cut, but the cap hit might not be worth it. Hand and Robbins have been good, although some depth would be nice at DT. Joseph hasn't shown much, but he's only in his 2nd year. Ideally, on offense next season we should sport a lineup something to this extent LT- Free agent that can pass protect, moving Holding 77 to his better RT position, since cutting him is financially impossible LG-Another free agent or we use our 2nd rounder again on a guard. C- O-Hara has been fine, so he can stay RG- Snee RT- Petitgout. Realistically, what it will be since this team doesn't cure its obvious problems LT- Petitgout LG- Diehl C- OHara RG- Snee RT- Stokes(on IR) Ideally at WR, I'd like a depth setup like this 1. Fast deep threat receiver via free agency or a steal in the 2nd or 3rd round of draft 2. Toomer 3. Taylor/Carter 4. Tyree(I like what I saw out of him last year at WR.) On defense, I'd like to see an alignment like it's been, other than I want Umeiyora as the regular starter at RE aside from Strahan with a better 2nd CB with Peterson and obviously more depth throughout. Easier said than done. |

I agree with most of it except Terry Cousin. I wouldn't expect an undersized (5'9"/184 lbs.) cornerback to be successful at SS. He played well earlier in the season in his Nickel slot and from the Dime when Frank Walker was moved to #3 for matchups (like the Keyshawn Johnson nonsense). I'm sure you know what I think of Will Allen, but I don't think we can afford to lose him. Yes, that's coming from someone who has been complaining about him since 2002. Who are the UFA corners out there? If there's someone who is an upgrade, is he affordable? The Giants, because they're the Giants, are never one of the teams with like $24M in cap space (like the Eagles were last year). I don't think we can drop Allen and then go after another CB and address all the other problems. Best case scenario is he gives the "thank you for still loving me even though I'm overrated and you've seen me f*ck up so, so many times" discount. Doubt that. |

Oh yeah, Strider, Frank Walker. I wish he would go too, but the word potential is tagged on him for no good reason, so I expect him to stay. As far as the salary cap is concerned, we've been burdened with overpaid contracts for years and I don't expect us to make a dent in the free agency market either. But I would hope this team could cut the fat so the speak. Why sign, like you said, mediocre Allen to an extension that makes him impossible to cut just to have him here next year when we have no hope next season? I'd rather bite the bullet, not re-sign him, take a chance on scrubs or maybe we get lucky and go thru free agency for a good corner in the 2006 year if that's possible. As far as options for free agency. I like the idea of us dumping Shaun Williams and signing Donovan Darius of the Jags. We could have Darius and Wilson at the safety spots, which would hopefully up our nonexistant INT totals. I think that's feasible. As far as other free agents, I'm not sure who there is and what little money we'll have, so I can't speak Oh yeah, forgot about Seubert. He was pretty good when healthy, but who knows if he'll be the same when and if he comes back. |

We'd be better off trying to draft a guy like Vincent Fuller or Jimmy Williams instead of signing a safety |

YES! The Jets badly need a CB who can play man to man, and with the Jets usually have safety help so he doesn't have to worry about getting beat over the top since that is a knock on Allen. Via Draft or Free Agency(Andre Dyson, Ken Lucas, Gary Baxter) I just want a CB who can play man-to-man. |

 If by man to man you mean getting beat by Reggie f*cking Swinton, then yes, he can play man to man. |

Will Allen cant play man. He can play zone, and usually on that he slides to favor one side. (Ex: If he has a curl zone and he has to defend a slot curl and a quick out, he'll leave 1 wide open, instead of doing what he should do, watch the QB) |

The last thing you want is Will Allen in man. Ask Drew about the time when he did the stutter step and made Will bust his ass. |

i do think peterson is better then will allen and allen is on his ass or going the wrong way half the time and he cant tackle, BUT when was the last time a qb had a big game against us?, farve couldnt do sh*t in the half he played, obviously it was probably more to do with the fact that we stopped the run but the cb's deserve a lot of praise. |

McNabb did alright. And other QBs have done just enough to win. |

the first game doesnt count, second game he did good, but we do stop the pass pretty damn good. Other qbs have done just enough not to lose, their defense did just enough to win |

I heard and know that his speed is amazingly fast, I know he gets burnt, which is real odd considering he has that kind of speed. But he is a good tackler and seems to enjoy blitzing the QB. I'd personally like him, just IMO. |

The Giants better rebuild the Offense, and get it done, but the #1 move is to fire Accorsi once the season is done. |

Unfortunately, Accorsi has full backing by the Mara family. He has his job until he retires. Or until I... I mean someone... kills him. |
