Since were gonna lose, why don't the giants just knock the sh*t out of him since he's making a mockery of the giant fans!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Were we complaining when Shockey dropped down and got his "Eagle" on?

There was nothing wrong with what Shockey did and there was nothing wrong with what Owens was doing. Instead of getting hot and bothered about what the guy does to celebrate, how about focussing some of that anger at the defense for giving him reason to showboat? I've said this many times and I know that nobody agrees with me but I'll say it again: I love ALL of Shockey's antics. Taunt them, annoy them, dance and prance. Why? (1) Because the fans are screaming, taunting the fans of the other team, dancing and prancing. We're getting excited and worked up and we're not even the ones on the field. (2) They're not on my team. f*ck them. I don't care about your little feelings being hurt and I don't care if you were offended, you're not wearing the same uniform as me. I'm glad you'll go home upset and embarassed. Its me and my squad, nothing else. I love that attitude. Shockey brings it (he used to before this awful organization and team has sapped him and watered down some of the fire) and Owens brings it. As I said last time, we'll cheer when a guy gets hammered and has to spend the night in a hospital with a collapsed lung, but we'll bitch when someone dances. Its ridiculous. I back Shockey's sh*t (I wish he did it more) and I'm not gonna change my stance because someone does it to us.

* btw - When Owens spun the ball and did the Eagle, wasn't that a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty? In my book there should be no such penalty but since the NFL has it, it should have been called. Yay, 524-0, refs over Giants.

just to quote doug's silly post:

Are you guys stupid unpurpose?

im not talking about anything after this week. Just after week 11, if the season ended today, thats all.

This has nothing to do with the rest of the Giants season, GB's season, Seattle's season. Has not a damn thing to do with the last 6 weeks.

Since the both of you are usually unaware of sh*t like this, im just explaining where things are right now. Some how you've managed to turn it into arguement with your foolishness

:smirk: :peace:

King, we didn't have a chance at Owens. His agent screwed up and missed the deadline to file the paperwork and the 49ers, still owning his rights, traded him to the Ravens. He didn't want to be there (he didn't want to play with a 2nd year QB who had missed half his rookie season) and bitched until he was traded to the Eagles. If he didn't want to go to the Ravens (a Super Bowl contender), he damn sure wouldn't have want to come to a 4-12 team w/ an awful offensive line who had just released its starting QB. Besides, the Giants wouldn't have been able to afford him. We've got too much money tied up in in overrated underacheiving players, including our own #1 receiver, Amani Toomer.

Bow, you feel me. You love that "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Let's go wild. f*ck you, you're not on my team," attitude. Remember how the Giants were all saying that Shockey's Bavarro-like bravado pumped them up and added some swagger to the offense? Ask the Eagles about TO's antics, it pumps them up.

PLEASE READ THIS

I think that some of Shock's fire has dwindled. In '02, he was fresh out of Miami where they blew everyone out and the 4th quarters were just for stat padding. Where he was running with Dorsey, Bryant McKinnie, Clinton Portis, Andre Johnson, and Santana Moss (for some time). Where the boys dominated, went wild, and its promoted at The U. Where they never lost a game (I think Dorsey lost 1 game, the bullsh*t BCS against Ohio State). In one of his first interviews he said that he eats grass when his team loses, just to punish himself and remind him how much he hates defeat. He comes here with all that ego, throwing punches at Brandon Short in the cafeteria, not giving a f*ck. First NFL game, he blows up that unnaned guy from the Texans in pre season. Scores his first TD agaisnt the Rams and taunts the fans. He's full of fire. But Fassel's bullsh*t drains him. The media complaining about his antics and off field comments drains him. The Kerry Collins/Fassel pathetic redzone offense drains him. The fact that he didn't score his second TD until the last game of the season drains him. The media and Fassel complaining about his on field celebrations drains him. In his second season, more of the same sh*t except we're losing. That drains him. He gets injured and his season ends early, that drains him. Third season, Captain Discipline comes in. Coughlin wants to turn a playmaking TE into a Joe Gibbs H-Back. That drains him. Has him running back and forth motion like Fassel used to have Hilliard and Comella do. Instead of using him on deep and intermediate routes, he's the short man in this conservative offense. That drains him. Kurt Warner misses him open a bunch of times and he's running routes for nothing. Drains him. A bunch of tight ends who weren't drafted as high as him and who weren't as hyped as him are emerging and putting up numbers that dwarf his. The league is now flooded with playmaking TEs. He's now an above average talent putting up average numbers. Drains him. Now the team is losing and is on its way to missing the playoffs again. You know that drains him. The fact that we're not gonna win more than 1 or 2 more games drains him. Eric Johnson, Jason Witten, and Alge Crumpler are all NFC tight ends having better seasons than him so there might not even be the solace of going to the Pro Bowl. That's gotta drain him. With all that draining, you have to wonder how much fire he has left. From his rookie season I was saying that I'm sure he wishes that another team had taken him. Now I'm positive he does.

i just think he gets energized by winning, somes players get energized to win, he gets energized from winning, its hard to explain.

and you are right to is not on my team that is why i cant stand him, im sure it would be different if he was on the giants.

I try to call it down the middle. I don't have a problem with a guy doing something for the other team thatt I wouldn't have a problem with one of my guys doing. If Toomer scored a TD today (HA!) and started doing the Moonwalk, I'd love it. I can't complain when its the other way. And it works both ways. If I had Bill Romanowski on my team spitting in people's faces, putting ankle locks on running backs out of bounds, and doing all of his sh*t, I'd be pissed.

Chad Johnson is funny. I like how he tries to stick it to the league. They fined Kitna $5000 for wearing a cap with a cross on it because it wasn't NFL apparel. After that, Johnson comes out with the sign from the snow, "Please don't fine me....AGAIN!" My only problem with him was the Pepto Bismol. That was silly and he didn't deliver. And last week he said that if he scored a TD he was gonna do something to get fined and asked the Bengals fans at the stadium to each chip in $1 to help pay the fine. He scored the TD and didn't do anything to really piss Tagz off.

You heard about the NFL adding the Colts "jump & bump" team celebration to the list of offenses punishable by fine? That's so stupid. Who the hell does that hurt? You jump and bump chests/shoulders with your teammates. The NFL offices keep sucking the fun for the players out and I love that Chad is screwing with them.
