It sucks. I've been complaing about this for years. Blow all that silly tradition bullsh*t our your ass. Nobody outside of Detroit gives a f*ck about seeing the Lions. Its a holiday, supposed to be a special day in the NFL, and we're watching the Lions and Bears. The only reason to watch football today is to see if Peyton can get to 40 touchdowns and hope that Drew Henson throws 6 interceptions. Its awful. I'm sick of seeing the Lions every year. Maybe if it was 10 years ago and I could see Barry Sanders break a few ankles. These aren't the Smith-Aikman-Irvin Cowboys, nobody gives a f*ck. These aren't the Walter Payton-Mike Singletary Bears, nobody gives a f*ck. Did you watch the Dolphins vs. Cowboys last season? I did, and it hurt. Thanksgiving sucks in my house, football is all I've got. And this is what I've got. Thanksgiving for me = having family over, which I don't care for (luckily, not this year), phone calls all f*cking day and my mother forcing me to talk to relatives (which I don't care for), the f*cking bird getting overcooked, family asking me why I'm not in a better mood, me wishing I could tell one of them to shut the f*ck up and leave me alone (the only one I don't mind is my brother because he hates it too), and BAD FOOTBALL. I'd rather the NFL skip a few watchable teams from the previous Sunday and let them go on Thanksgiving Thursday. Cut the schedule in half from that Sunday so that people can be entertained. Another possibility would be to have a full schedule on Thanksgiving and let this Sunday be a league-wide bye week. Play on the Sunday before and have everyone go on short rest but give them a bye to make up for it. But since most people wouldn't stand for 2 bye weeks, you would have to cut out the regular bye and make the post-Thanksgiving week the only one. Every team gets off the same week. I think its a good idea. It would never happen though. Tell me what you think of that. |

That's the only positive. That and if you're a Yankees fan, getting the chance to see Henson (parlayed a .220 minor league average into free millions) fall on his face, hopefully. What do you think of my idea for the full NFL schedule today and then let them skip this coming Sunday? I'd rather have the good football today than then. |

Ofcourse it won't happen. Most of the sh*t I propose will never happen. This is just a matter of what you'd like to see. Would you want it to happen? I link everything to my own team. The Giants could have had Stokeley instead of James McKnight. I don't blame them for that because B-Stoke had never done sh*t against anyone but Mr. Harmon. Its just one of those "what if" things. :no1: |

In England, we have a tradition of having games every Boxing Day (December 26) and New Years Eve (December 31) There are no special designations, and it works real well. The NFL could do better on Thanksgiving Day. At least, as well as the EPL does on Boxing Day. This Lions/Cowboys things is pretty pointless unless you are a fan of either team or really hate either team. |

i was saying this to myself while watching the cowgirls game, they should stop having the lions and cowgirls play every thanksgiving, mix it up a little bit, nobody gives a f*ck about those teams right now, seriously that cowgirls/bears game was the worst football game i've seen in years, that sh*t was horrible!!! |
