PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST You know the frustrating part about this final stretch coming up is how we should have been in a better position. We're losing these games and that was a given from the get-go, but we should have built up enough padding to weather the upcoming storm. Think about this: Had we beaten the Lions, Bears, and Cardinals -which we should have - we would have an 8-2 record. I'm including the loss to the Falcons in the "should be" record because they're better than us and that's a loss we should have all predicted. They should have been 8-2 going into this Sunday against the Eagles, 1 game behind, with a chance to tie for the division lead. We wouldn't have/won't win and we would have been 8-3 (still a very good record) after that. The Ravens game would be close because of their lack of offense, but I'd pencil the Jints in for a loss. Give 'em another loss to Pittsburg. That would leave them at 8-5 (still a good record) and looking to beat Washington, Dallas, and Cincinatti. The NFC is the sister conference this year and it looks like 9-7 might get you a WC spot. At 8-5, needing just 1 more win (maybe 2) against 3 bad teams, we would/should have been in good position to clinch a playoff berth. But no, this team loves to lose to bad teams. And I'm not optimistic about next season either. I have no confidence in our front office to address the problems. I don't even know if they know what the problems are. It seems ridiculous to say that a proffessional football front office of experts doesn't see the obvious, but its the same problems we've had for years and they still haven't been addressed. You have to start wondering if they just don't know. And even if they attempt to fix the problems, I don't know if we can. Do we have the resources? I know for sure that we're short a 1st round pick. We need atleast two GOOD offensive linemen. We need a gamebreaking receiver who can get open quickly and produce yards after the catch. We need a playmaking linebacker. That seems like a lot for one off season (o-line should have been addressed this past off season) and I doubt it will/can get done. With that, the team won't be complete going into 2005-2006 and there's no reason to get giddy. Don't tell me Eli either. Eli needs those two GOOD offensive linemen and that gamebreaking receiver. If he doesn't get it, you can't expect big things from him in his sophomore season. Hang your heads my friends, the bullsh*t continues. |

YOU BUGGIN'. First off, it would take too much to sign Marvin. He's due for a big contract and I'm sure the Giants can't afford it. When we had our turn to dish out big contracts, we used $60M to retain Luke Pettitgout and Shuan Williams. <- Its f*cked up, ain't it? Also, the Colts won't let Marvin walk. You see P-Money tearing through the record books and Reggie Wayne and Brandon Stokeley putting up big numbers, it ain't because Wayne and Stokeley are great and they don't need Marvin. Its because Marvin occupies double coverage and gets them open. The Colts will break bank to keep him, even if it means letting Edgerrin go and drafting a running back. |

Id rather be 5-5 with Eli than 8-2 with Warner. Roscoe Parrish A pro bowl type tackle And an unblockable Mike LB We'll have plenty of holes next year |

Roscoe, although I'm not that high on him. A very good-great left tackle so that "little taste" can get moved back to right and not have to see those mean ol' speed rushers. A fast and athletic middle linebacker who can run around and make plays. |
