I should preface this by saying 4 things. 1. The fox camera doesnt zoom out all the time so there were times you could see route development to one side of the field. 2. Most of the time that didnt matter because he made good reads and had to get rid of the ball 3. He played this game better than Warner would have. 4. He f*ckin gets after peole, points out protections, yells about motion, gets mad about f*cking up. 1st qtr 2nd 10, 13:48: I twins left- Made the right read hit Hilliard on a qucik curl 3rd 10, 13:42: SB slot left- PA, 3 seconds sack (Deihl) Manning was ready to throw 1st 10, 5:33: Shotgun slot left PA TE Fade pass dropped Great Adjustment LB bit on the PA and stepped forwrd. Manning saw him start to step back (recognizing pass) into the throwing lane. Instead of throwing a normal pass he lofts it over the top should've been a catch 3rd 6, 5:03: Shotgun slot right pass dropped 1st 10, 3:16: SB big PA weak rollout TE slip 2nd 8, 2:13 SB trips right blitz read. quick slant, dropped. 3rd 8, 2:08: Shotgun strong right, Points out LB blitz. Looks downfield right. Throws quick slant left. Dropped. 2nd qtr 1st 10, 9:09: I form, PA TE In, Dropped. 3rd 5, 8:40: Shotgun 2 RB 11 yd slant complete. Missed FB in the flat for easier completion. 1st 10, 3:05: Weak left PA rollout right 13 yds 1st 10, 2:36: SB slot right. Pump fakes slant left and drwas the LB, then throws TE deep in to vacated area Dropped. 2nd 10, 2:27: SB slot right. Delay screen, incomplete. 3rd 10, 2:23: Empty. HB screen. 1st 10, 0:16: Shotgun. Deep Post, INT. Had short WR but no reason to throw the checkdown in that spot. No blame for trying to make a play. the CB came from the backside. 3rd qtr 2nd 8, 11:55: I form. PA 25 yd in. Dropped. 3rd 8, 11:47: SB trips left. DT gets release (terrible block by Snee) rollout, HB fade for 10 yds. Great presence of mind. 1st 10, 11:18: I form. PA left. Rollout TE Slip. 3rd 4, 10:00: SB slot right TE in 2nd 12, 8:16: I form. TE deep in incomoplete. He missed Rivers undernath the deep in on a drag (Brooking fell down) wpuld've been a 1st down and myabe a big play. 3rd 12, 8:09: Shotgun slot left. TE deep in. Bullet Pass. Tight area, great throw. 2nd 8, 7:05: I form. HB swing batted down (pressure) 3rd 8, 6:58: SB split right. Looks left and throws a quick slant back to the right (saw the LB open up and bite on a HB slip route under the slant) 1st 10, 6:14: empty. WR flat overthrown. 2nd goal, 4:43: SB split left TE Curl. Touchdown. 1st 10, 2:17: SB trips left. WR deep in Toomer not looking for pass. Incomplete. 2nd 10, 2:13: Sb slot right. Looks downfield and checks to the FB for 15 yds Had an open Slot WR for a TD on a go route but he decided to make the safe throw because the pocket was collapsing. I have no problem with that. 2nd 3, 0:36: SB trips right. Quick slant for an INT. He looked right at it. He shouldnt have thrown it. He should've looked back and thrown to the FB in the flat. Would've been a no gain, but better than an INT. 4th qtr 1st 10, 12:40: SB. HB screen. 1st 10, 10:53: I right, WR curl 1st 10, 8:03: SB big. Manning trips and stumbles. Has balance to say on his feet and presence of mind to throw ball away 2nd goal, 7:03: I right, PA reverse. He has to throw it away bc/ of pressure. I hate that play, we ran it last week and it caused a sack. It takes too long to develop with our O-Line!!!! 3rd goal, 6:42: SB slot left. 8 Man rush, WR screen for no gain. Toomer made a real bitch block and Ike never had a chance. Field Goal 1st 10, 1:43: SB slot right. TE In 1st 10, 1:17: Shotgun. FB flat pass batted down. Good read, not forcing a play. 2nd 10, 1:13: Sb split left- TE in broken up. 3rd 10, 1:08: Shotgun WR curl 4th 3, 0:53: TE quick in broken up. By this time he was locked onto that arear of the field (tackle box) He had a quick slant left for the easy 1st and he had a go route to the right if he wanted to take a chance. Both Man coverage - Alot of this was just little blurbs, thats not me being lazy. Not more than 4-6 times did he hold the ball for more than 3 seconds. He made quick reads and got the ball out to the right WR. He was aware of the O-line - He threw to Shockey about 15 times. That goes back to getting the ball out, (quick in routes) but he has to make sure he doesnt lock on. - We would've lost this game with Warner and he would've been sacked 4-6 Times. - Manning made very few mistakes and he consistently got rid of the football. It gives me alot of optimisim for the next 6 weeks of the season |

I liked what I saw. The only time he was sacked was very early into the game. He got rid of the ball in times where Warner would've taken the sack. He was very calm and collected in the pocket and made a nice running throw to Barber in the 3rd quarter I think it was. He's only going to get better. Even if we lose, it'll be exciting to see him develop. |

He throws a harder ball than Warner. The receivers were adjusting to his throws and that's why they were catching the ball more in the 2nd half. |

Drew I wish I could just mail everyone f*ckin video tapes of the game so they could realize 2 things: Warner holds the ball an entire second to second and a half longer than Manning (thats like a half hour in football) Warner would've played horrendous vs. ATL. And 2nd, Manning (Accuracy/Arm Strength) mkaes throws Warner just cant make. Shockey ddint get 15 throws by accident. And he didnt get 5 throws with Warner by accident |

Exactly. They just have to adjust to the new throwing style. They were in a comfort zone with Warner and his pussyfooting around in the pocket. They'll get adjusted to Eli in due time. |

it depends on two things, one the eagles are gonna try to confuse the living sh*t outta him, if he could take his time and pick up all the blitzers before the snap he will be fine two if we could block the blitzes for most of the game with a 5 man front with the backs picking up the slack, so manning will be able to throw to shockey. |

if f*ckin Greisen plays they wont, but the Eagles blitz from the outside. Eli held the ball for more than 3 seconds only 4 or 5 times this week. If he doesnt make mistakes its ognna be a tight game |

remember they spread us out in the first game. We have to cover, You would do more things right than Greisen. I dont want him covering anyone. Donovan will pick us apart short |

i just look at what vick did to us on the first 2 drives of last week's game and i think about what mcnabb can do and i just get scared! mcnabb can throw and scramble, vick pretty much just scrambles and mcnabb has weapons like owens and westbrook, f*cking eagles!!! :no1: |

yeah well last time the giants played the eagles owens had a field day and had 3 TD's, westbrook rushed for over 100 yards and mcnabb threw for 3 TD's, it's gonna be hard to beat them when they have those kind of weapons but we'll see what happens, i just wanna see how eli does on sunday!!! |

well, there are ways to contain Owens (especially with wilson) and Westbrook wont run for as big a day. We couldnt tackle those retarted kids oin the little bus in the 1st game |
