Couple things I wanted to say about him in another thread. I figured that it would have made an already long post even longer and we have people who don't like to read here. He showed me some things (like he did in the pre season) that you like, sh*t that can't be taught. The play where he's stumbling and regains his balance, sees that Hilliard is well covered and doesn't hesitate to chuck it out of bounds. I like what I see from him and we all know what he needs around him, but will he get it? Will our front office ever get a good offensive line infront of him? Will our front office ever bring in some playmaking/gamebreaking receivers for him? I doubt that. I also think that Eli needs to put some weight on. I'm looking at him in the huddle and he's got bitch arms. His uniform isn't going to be clean after every game and when the blitzes start coming, he's going to get hit. He's listed at 218 lbs., but that kid is not 10 lbs. heavier than Amani Toomer and he's not 18 lbs. heavier than Kurt Warner. He has to hit that weight room because to me, he has a "fragile" look and I said the same thing about Pennington the first time I saw him. Granted, I'm not always right cuz I said the same thing about Brady in 2001. Still, he could stand to gain 15-20 lbs. and get up to around Peyton's weight. It shouldn't restrict him that much because he's not a scrambler anyway. When those licks start coming, I don't want the kid getting snapped. |

yes, you know what warner would have done on that play, he would have ran around for a little while, get hit and fumble the ball, also you had a great game today strider, you actually gained 5 or 6 yards instead of gaining 1 or 2, nice job RD!!! :thumbup2: |

Justin, on that play, Warner wouldn't have regained his balance. He would have fallen down and given up the free sack. Yeah, I've been telling you that I've got talent. I just haven't been utilized. I can't run short yardage but if you get me outside or on some counters, I can be effective. In the right situation where I'll get 300 carries and the offense uses me more like skat back, I can be a quality running back. Told you so. |

320 carries on 3.6 per = 1152 yards. That's what I'm capable of. And that's not even considering the fact that the YPC might go up. But what do you think of the second paragraph of my post? |

I remember hearing last week that he only got sacked like 40 times at Ole Miss. Still, its different. Some of the most fragile NFL players managed to hold up in college. Chad Pennington wasn't injury prone at Marshall. I'm sure Ron Dixon was durable at Lambuth. Tim Carter wouldn't have been drafted 2nd round if he..... |

They played a pread offense with slow recievers, he got hit alot. I wouldnt be opposed to it and im sure he will eventually, but he has taken the hits before. Whether that means anything or not varies on who you ask |
