this is how i see things shaking out: trade floyd for sosa, our new rightfielder, this deal will get done! they'll sign sexson to a 3 year deal, minaya doesn't seem to have interest in delgado and sexson is an above average defensive first baseman so defense is not a problem! the benson deal is almost done so no worries there! leiter i now feel will be re-signed, i think the mets will offer him 6 million for 1 year with incentives and he'll take it! as for the whole piazza situation, i have a feeling that the dodgers deal (green for piazza) won't happen cause green will veto any trade out of LA, i think he wants to stay there! the guillen deal (guillen for piazza) could happen but i think the angels will find a better deal elsewhere for guillen, there was a rumor about the marlins getting guillen so i don't see any trade happening with the angels! after those 2 teams who does that leave, no one, i don't see any other team being interested in piazza so i feel he'll stay put! now this leaves a hole in leftfield, i'd love to see diaz get a shot but i don't think omar wants him as a starter, they aren't going after beltran so forget about him, maybe magglio or j.d. drew will be signed to play leftfield, i know drew is being shopped as a centerfielder at the moment but money could change that!!! 2005 starting lineup: 1. jose reyes 2. kaz matsui 3. david wright 4. richie sexson 5. j.d. drew 6. sammy sosa 7. mike piazza 8. mike cameron 2005 starting rotation: 1. tom glavine 2. victor zambrano 3. al leiter 4. kris benson 5. steve trachsel :peace: |

They're not sign Sexson, Drew, AND trading for Sosa. |

No way we get that batting lineup. And our rotation has a leak on aisle 3 (Leiter's aisle). |

well it depends how much money the cubs give the mets in the sosa deal, maybe your right, maybe i went a little overboard but i don't see who else could play leftfield besides diaz and i don't think minaya wants him to be a starter, i don't know any cheap options for leftfield!!! |
