http://bigleaguers.yahoo.com/mlbpa/players...04&type=Batting Since 2001 - In 39 AB's he is hitting .154 with 2HR's and 7 RBI. For his career at Shea - In 177AB's he's hitting .232 with 9HR's and 28 RBI. If this deal happens he is going to get so caught up in the ball dying in left center field like it does every June through August. He'll be bald by the end of the year. |

Projected 2005 stats for Sammy Sosa w/ the Mets: .242/18 HR/39 RBI in 122 games. His season will end early as he becomes frustrated by the fans booing him and decides to sit out until these people can learn to appreciate him. Strider guarantees it. |

This from Chicago's Daily Southtown Paper: The Sosa watch The speculated Sammy Sosa-for-Cliff Floyd trade between the Cubs and New York Mets may involve a few more players. Reports out of New York indicate the Cubs may be interested in a "cost-effective" player as well as Floyd, who will make $13 million over the next two seasons. Floyd, a former Thornwood High School star, has been ravaged by injuries during his 12-year career in the majors. The Cubs are likely looking at a prospect or one of the younger Mets from last year's team. Watch the Mets give them Chicago native Victor Diaz as well as Floyd. |

Or Jose Reyes. They could let Nomar walk if they've got Senior Softie to take over. For anyone who read what I said about the Dominicans in NY loving Sosa: While going past Dyckman Ave. on the train, I saw written on somebody's apartment window "Sosa to NY". In the same write ink/paint like they used for the car windows in '98. |
