Bonds had one of the greatest statistical seasons EVER in the HISTORY of the game. The man had a .609 on base percentage, compiling 232 walks in 147 games. He also managed to belt out 45 hrs in just 373 at bats, while striking out only 41 times. Of the 41 times he struck out, only 12 were swinging strikeouts.

Now that Bonds had his 4th NL MVP,and Tommorow maybe Sheffield,or Ortiz might win The AL MVP.

Beltre would have deserved it in a season that featured all human players in the NL, but Bonds is not human. A .600 year long OBP as Chili Cheese said. Case closed.

LFW, I would have thought that MastaR would be the first one in here with the OBP.

I would have given it Beltre because his team made the playoffs (it doesn't matter to me, but the dickhead voters count it), he hit more homeruns, drove in more runs, played defense, and plays a position the requires him to play defense. Its not Bonds' fault he walks so much, but in my book, its all about production. Beltre produced more.
