He cant catch, he was a catcher in Double A I think. Its no big deal

He was a 2b in the Dodgers system, then he was moved to 3b and eventually RF/LF.

Your thinking of Joselo Diaz, another guy who came over in the Burnitz deal who is not longer in the Mets Organization. J. Diaz was a catcher who was converted to a pitcher because of his weak hitting and strong arm

and later traded along with Scott Kazmir to Tampa for CY Zambrano.

Interestingly, right fielder Victor Diaz spent some time catching in the Dominican League Sunday. That could be another sign that the Mets could be preparing for a possible Mike Piazza departure.

If he is a good catcher, what's wrong with that?

He needs to play the outfield like he's supposed to! If we needed a new catcher, why would it be Diaz?
