There are 3 or 4 maniacs who take politics way too seriously and it messes up the boards for everyone else. It's better that they go somewhere else to talk politics, no more of that garbage here.

We said we would allow political posts during the elections. We did that, now the elections are over. Time to put an end to them again.

things have been a little crazy lately, for the non-staff members here who don't know there has been alot of arguing going on in the staff forum, mostly between ray and everyone else, alot of it has to do with the political threads which is why those threads will be closed tonight! i know people don't like dealing with alot of the bullsh*t that's involved with message boards, people just want to talk sports and about some off-topic issues and that's what i'm trying to stop but i guess that's what a uncensored (sort of) message board is all about, there's always gonna be some crazy sh*t going on! anyway i've been on the msg board the last couple of days and there's a big lovefest going on over there which is great, i love the posters that are there, great people but me and pretty much all of us left there cause we didn't want to be held down by that crazy bitch admin, we wanted more freedom of speech! they can have all that warm, milk and cookies talk over there but that isn't what we are about, we curse, we get mad, we say what we feel is on our minds, we do pretty much say what the f*ck we want, our board isn't perfect but no board is, people don't like this board cause we are "vulgar", "racist" (whatever), "offensive", we are "sexually sarcastic" (ooooook), well guess what i don't give a sh*t, i really don't! we run our board the way we want to run it, people will either love us or hate us, oh well that's just the way life is, hey if anybody doesn't like the way sh*t is run here you can go to the msgnetwork.com boards and have fun talking about how great the weather is and how badly the mets stink darn it, the admin will be on your ass in a second over there for saying anything remotely bad like "ass" or "suck"! you guys can also go to the zone bone phone home forum and talk about knicks and nets basketball, don't say anything bad about "asian people" though cause you will probably be banned, yeah i know some people are lurking here from both those boards but i don't give a sh*t, i say what's on my mind, i tell it like it is, if those comments offend you too bad, have fun on your favorite message board! this is big apple sports bitches, this is where the big boys play, we are the f*cking ecw of message boards, you don't like it then leave, THIS IS THE BEST SPORTS BOARD ON THE NET PERIOD and if you disagree then as cm would say you can BLOW ME!!! :peace:

I can see your points, but with the sports forums so dead this time of year, it's hard not to talk about things like politics. Even this fantasy baseball board I go on is engaging in politics, although I choose not to post there since they got some really leftist posters.

I'm just saying, why can't politics be allowed, but with guidelines on how to talk with one another. I mean, I think people should be able to say if another's point is dumb or not, but direct insults that get excessive, ie ETS, who I ignore every post he makes because of that, would be deleted. I think having politics spices up the board, and keeps that "ECW of message boards" flavor to it. Eliminating it totally this time of year just makes for a deader board.
