Good post, but...

We won't get the right players in here. The Jaguars in the late 90's were the poor man's Redskins in terms of cap situation. The difference is that their spending paid off. But after a few years, they were f*cked by the cap. Before I get off track, the point is that the Jaguars would spend and use that money to bring in good players. Going into last off season, we made our lists of team needs. We checked websites for cap information and we spent time to crunch the numbers like losers. We suggested players the team could go after. More importantly, Accorsi said all the right things. We thought that most of the problems would have been addressed and we would get the right players. We did sign some quality, but overall, many of those holes are still there. Unlike the Jags, we're not capped out with talent that gets us to 15-1. We have money tied into guys like Shaun Williams and Luke Pettitgout.

We'll go into next season believing that they'll finally get themselves a tackle that can block and move Petitgout to RT, a LG that can go without penalties, another safety that will make enough plays to know who he is aside from Wilson(Who the hell is their other starting safety right now. He's junk, whoever he is), and some depth at corner. Accorsi will talk the talk, but come 2005, we'll be starting

LT- Petitgout
LG- Diehl
C- O'Hara
RG- Snee
RT- I. Allen Jr.(Like this year, cheap signings that amount to crap)

Safeties- Wilson will be paired with Shaun Williams, who won't be cut, or Omar Stoutmeir if Williams is cut

CB- Some 5'6, 5th round pick out of McNeese State and Frank Walker

This team is the same old song. No impact signings. I haven't been happy about a signing since they got Ron Stone away from the Cowboys years ago.

All I can hope is Accorsi gave Williams a small signing bonus. Hilliard can be cut and if we keep Toomfer the speed Wr doesnt have to be that expensive.

You can get a blocking TE in the draft (Just not from Lehigh or Alabama A&M).

The only thing that cost money is that tackle, which we should've got last year when Tait was avaliable
