You came out in massive numbers in support of President Bush. Not even the far extent of the left's hatred for Bush mattered when the votes were tallied. Michael Moore, who said the majority of America did not elect this man, can now stuff it, as Bush clearly took the majority of the popular vote and has been vindicated for 2000. Now that you have four years remaining, you have every right to enact whatever you believe in. If you really want a draft and believe it necessary to strengthen the army, go ahead. You don't have to worry about the hatred of the left anymore. God Bless America

If anything, the Democrats were the ones posturing for a draft years ago, because they believed it would make the American Public more concerned about Iraq. Really stupid idea that got shotdown. I'm just sick of hearing the scare tactics of the left, making Bush out to be some dictator, which he's not. He's not going to enter a draft, although personally, I'm not totally against the idea, since I think people owe a service to this country, considering the rights everyone has. But put your mind to rest, there will not be a draft.

I'm trying to be fair in all this. What's so wrong about a draft? If America needs more people, considering military is our first line of defense, why shouldn't there be a measure such as a draft to get more people? Countries throughout the world have mandatory enlistments upon reaching a certain age. I don't understand the problem with having one.

I think there's a bit of truth in that when it comes to many youth's fear of the draft. They'd rather watch their TV and play their video games than risk dying.
