ok he kills the mets for both trades at the deadline which is fair but this a-hole comes out and says that the mets are going to be a .500 team next year, wow i didn't know he was ms. cleo! this f*cking nobody cause that's what he is knows nothing, let's see what the mets do in the offseason and through free agency before we call them a .500 team, right now the mets have a good chance at being a .500 team at the end of the season so next year they are going to stay the same team and not improve, f*ck that! if the mets go out and sign magglio ordonez, jason varitek, steve kline and maybe another hitter they have a greatly improved team so f*ck buster olney, he's a f*cking nobody, a f*cking clown!!! :fyou:

I heard that part before I had to come back into the office. I think he meant as they stand now with this starting pitching staff. Of course if they make major improvements in the offseason they can be better than .500. The way Mike asked the question, it was geared towards how Olney felt this team would be after making these trades over a full season. I agree with him. Unless they make major improvements to the offense, defense, and bullpen, the Mets will be around .500 with this starting 5.

The Mets are a .500 team right now, but with a possible addition of Mags and a new bullpen they can be a much better team.

Why do you think that the '05 Mets will be so much better? Last offseason you all had Tejada and Vlad in your sigs, proclaiming how they'll both be Mets, and all you got was Kaz Matsui and Karim Garcia.

Wilpon isn't willing to spend enough to get the top notch free agents, and that's why I don't think you'll see Magglio in Shea next season.

even if ordonez doesnt come here we will have an established rotation from the beginning, an adjusted kaz, an established rf'er in hidalgo and a healthy reyes (hopefully)

like i said before it's not a sure thing cause of wilpon but the team will be improved next season, the mets might not have gotten vlad or tejeda but guess what they are still a better team then they were last season, as long as wilpon spends at least some money this offseason the mets will be an improved team!!!
