Posada is out with the flu. Giambi taking swings tomorrow in Tampa. Arod went to Miami to "get better".
Moose to pitch Wednesday, Vaz Tuesday so Phillips can stay the extra day.

Terrible collapse by the bullpen.

The good news is Kevin Brown looked good today. I thought Torre should have left him in, let him win or lose the game. There is no reason to take him out with 1 out in the 7th, it's not like he had 110 pitches!

He does this with Vazquez all the time, takes them out too fast. Let the starters win or lose the game for once!!

GET PROCTOR OUT OF HERE!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious:

Oh and I have had ENOUGH of Torre going to the lefties all the f*cking time!!

When you have lefties that SUCK, you do not use them in close games with the game on the line!!!!! Why does Torre have this obsession with bringing in these HORRIBLE lefties!?

Brown could've gotten Ichiro out. I didn't get that move at all.

Yeah, Torre needs to let these guys stay in sometimes. If Brown gives up the lead then that's on him. There was no reason to take him out that early. It's not like they were scolding doubles into the gaps. There were a few balls that just got through, and could have been fielded.

If you put the game in the hands of the bullpen all the time, things like today happen.

AGREED! especially when ya got Nitkowski as your lefty "specialist" !

Joe should have at least kept Brown in the game until the end of the inning. He's gotta know Quantrill M.O. : lights out when he starts the inning, but he folds when he has to deal with inherited runners. :dunno:

we need to do the following ASAP: :wall:

1. get Karsay back pronto :peace:

2. promote lefty Halsey back to the majors :D

3. get a decent reliever, preferably a "lefty specialist" in a trade

4. trade, demote or otherwise get rid of heredia, proctor, prinz and nitkowski. These clowns are soooo bad, they make Sturtze look good.

5. move loaiza to the pen as our long reliever/spot starter :please:

6. Rest Quantrill and for a while try to limit his activity to situations where he starts an inning clean. :serious:

Ichiro is a great hitter. I don't know the stats, but he probably hits lefties and righties about the same. If not, he's still a great hitter no matter who the pitcher. Brown should have pitched to him.
