The Giants just released neifi perez, how about the mets sign him? They need some MI depth, he has to be better than Wilson Delgado. It can't hurt, he'd cost almost nothing and can be easily released if he sucks.

nah, he is better than ricky. i mean he has always had a good glove and a lot of range. ill take that over joe mcewing. i like this idea a lot. he can also play some 2nd when matsui comes back.

i'm sorry but he reminds me alot of ricky gutierrez, ricky had a good glove too until he came to the mets, i'd rather just keep the guys we have already, the mets don't need perez!!!

ricky had no range!! and that was a known fact. perez has always been a great glove infact he won a gold glove and he has a lot of range

yeah he won a gold glove but besides that he hasn't really been a good player, he can't hit for sh*t, at least garcia and mcuseless have shown they could get a hit from time to time!!!

Perez plays Gold Glove-caliber defense at shortstop, displaying tremendous range and one of the most powerful arms of any infielder in the National League. He also is very adept at second base.

that is from ESPN.

i don't care that he won't hit. by the way he is hitting .230 and that is about mcewing.

so ill take my chance with good defense. worst comes to worst we have him over wilson delgado.
