I can't stand this guy. First he can't get the bunt down, then he gets caught in a rundown. He f*cking sucks. I can't stand looking at him.

He's this year's Raul Mondesi.

Why do you have such a hardon for Lofton all of a sudden? You hated the guy till about a month ago.

You are acting like he's gone 0-55. :serious:

He has been playing well.

I didn't like the signing when it happened, but you can't argue with results. He's setting the table pretty good, he's shown an average(maybe above average) arm. He's hitting and playing defense the way everyone had expected him. I'm ok with him as of now. Next year he better not be on the Yankees.

I don't think anybody loved the signing. But when he's played he's been good.

If we had lost tonight, he'd be getting ripped like there's no tomorrow. He's lucky the others bailed him out.

And that's really all there is too it. Everyone thought about first base(after NJ was traded) and then the Yankees get another center fielder. As I said, he's been everything we could hope for and more. I just don't want him to be on the Yanks next season.

I just don't want him to be on the Yanks next season.

I don't think ANYBODY on these boards wants him back next season.

I can't kill Lofton, he's played well when in there this year, he's lost in the outfield like everyone else, so he's not alone. I of course like everyone else want him out of here next year and want Beltran in pinstripes.

We just might be stuck with him for one more year, given that bad contract. What were they thinking? :wtf:

I think Lofton has a done a good job in CF (albeit with the occasional miscommunication with Matsui).

Kenny Lofton will hit better than A-Rod in the playoffs.

He's been decent. He would have been a good signing for one year at $1 million less (per year)...

As of right now, I trust Kenny in an RISP situation more than A-Rod. Its not that far-fetched. A-Rod will see more playing time, but he hasn't proven that he's clutch thus far. No sh*t we know who is the better player, but this moment being this moment....

Lofton has been productive for the most part. His defense is shaky as hell and he hasn't stolen as many bases as he should, but overall, he's been good. I wanted to put him in a "Tanyon Lock" when he grounded out on the first pitch on a ball that had a better chance of hitting him than vice versa. The errors in the outfield drive me nuts. But the guy has come through for us this season. He's had big hits (rally sparkers, the homerun off Hoffman, etc.) and he's made some great double plays in the outfield. He pisses me off at times (too often), but I can't kill him. I was for the signing by the way. While all of you were killing him and telling me nonsense about "chemistry", I said, "We didn't get Castillo and I want a real leadoff hitter. Besides, it'll get Bernie's hobbling ass out of CF." At the time, I had expected Giambi to see the majority of the time at 1B and Bernie would play the field when Jason had to DH.

Amit is racist. Last month he called me a nigger. :annoyed:
