Amit, did you get the pitch count? All that's missing from the line is "71 pitches thrown". Outside of the walks, a Madduxian outing.

But congrats anyway. 300 wins is 300 wins and you don't get there without doing something right. I think that his career accomplishments have been underrated. That ERA is great and he's been a consistent winner throughout his career. Add to that the fact that he's one of maybe 5 pitchers that's actually an athlete. Great career.

And the Band played on......

That might be the last time we see that in our lifetimes. Oh....wait most of us aren't MM's age :P

Seriously though we won't see somebody reach 300 for awhile. To get 300 wins you need to average 15 for 20 years! Not easy.

Shockingly, if Mussina wants to pitch till about 40-41 years old and wins about 15 a year, he has a shot.

Congrats to that geek Maddux. It really is a great accomplishment. I still remember when he Stick Michael took him to a play and he almost signed with the Yanks in 92 but went to Atlanta instead.

Tommy G should get to 300 barring injury.

not playing for the mets, he'll get to 300 if he play's for a great team, maybe if the mets score some runs for him the next 2 years he'll have a chance!!! :no1:
