Jim Thome's only hitting .192 with runners in scoring position. So it's not like A-Rod's the only one. :peace:

That's been talked about all year. His homeruns is what gives him that good RBI total.

And I don't care what Jim Thome's doing. I don't take any solace in that. If you have a retarded kid and you find out that the neighbor's kid is retarded too, that's no consolation. That just makes two retards on the same block. Its no less of a disappointment.

He'll probably finish the season around .290/42 HR/109 RBI. Good numbers, but we expected a higher average and more ribbies. I've called him worthless (people should know that I'm joking), but I'll wait until next season to be really critical of him. Well, unless he sucks in the playoffs and screws something up in a big spot.

Can someone find out what his numbers were on August 6, 2003?

.260 BA .379 OBP .527 SLG, 27 HR.

Not sure how many RBI or runs scored.

Also on 8/6/03, A-Rod hit his 29th HR and Giambi hit his 33rd.

.260? He pulled his average up 38 points that late in the season? You sure you got that right?

Thanks.

That's an 18 point difference in average. :no1:

I was going through the numbers at espn.com and he hit .317 in the second half of last season. He went into the AS break at .285/22 HR/60 RBI. He hit .340 in August last year. We could use some of that.

Where do you find the "#s on a particular day" splits?

retrosheet.org.

You gotta go to a players page and then click on the word "daily" next to the season you want to look at.

You can also go to Yahoo and look at the game log.

You gotta take into consideration where he was playing though. Hank Blalock's a .320 hitter at home, but he hits .242 on the road.

Hank Blalock ain't regarded as the best player in the game and he damn sho' ain't making $252M. A-Rod needs to stop being worthless and get his sh*t together. He should be hitting .340 on the road and hitting .360 at home to put on a show for the fans.
