the devil rays moved veteran ss julio lugo to 2B b/c b.j. upton is the better player and is 19 and will play SS. when lugo complained pinella basically said shutup, look at a-rod, he moved to third and he is a lot better than you.

why can't the mets do this with matsui and reyes NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the reason is the mets as an organization have no balls, starting with wilpon and art howe.

i mean lugo hasn't played 2b but he is gonna learn, why can't the matsui learn. it is just retarded.

THE METS NEED TO GROW A PAIR!!! AND MOVE THE GREAT KAZUO TO 2B!!!

Because Lou Piniella doesn't care what his players think about him. He just wants to win.

Art Howe just wants to keep his job. He probably knows that the front office is looking for excuses to get rid of him, and a player complaining about him would be pretty good evidence to use against him.

I'd be shocked if he's still the Mets manager next season. He was a horrible fit from the beginning, This team desperately needs a fiery manager that isn't afraid to piss off people.

Piniella's players may not like him, but I'm sure that they all respect him and know that hejust wants to win. I don't think Howe has any respect from his players because he lets them walk all over him.

It will ruin relationships with future japanses players, kaz came here on the assumption that he will be able to play short otherwise he wouldve went elsewhere. If we were to put kaz at second now future japanese players who are free agents wouldnt sign with the mets because they will cheat you just so you would come here (at least thats what they would be thinking). If they wait till the off season kaz wouldve gotten a full season at the position and then they could move him because he got a fair shot at short.

What???? Half a season isn't enough? That's BS. Kaz has had his chance and proven that he is incapable of playing SS at the MLB level. Let's put it this way, what more does Kaz have do to prove to everyone that he can't play short?

to me nothing, to most new york fans nothing but years later when jaapanese players want to sign with teams they will exculde the mets because that organization isnt very patient in letting foreign players acclimate to their new towns and positions. Thats not the case but it will look like it.
